老公上班方便一些。但是从那里到UNC上班时段好像开车很堵，bus也得倒一下，好像
时间跟现在从cary开过来省不了多少。请教各位UNC的童鞋们，你们都住哪里啊？开始

发帖数: 1286 | 10 主要还是和打法体系有关，UNC的再乐和汉堡都是Academic All America，但是他们绝
对不会去Duke当蓝领。因为老K的战术只需要1-2个人在里面抢篮板，3-4个人在外面投3
分。而Roy是最好的transition教练。他的战术需要一个很好的PG和C，很好的front
line。所以UNC一直能招到很好的PG和内线。但是在PG/SG/SF位置上Duke一直不吃亏。
好的射手更愿意去Duke，因为外线射手在UNC只是个锦上添花的角色，在Duke就是顶梁
柱了（近期就有KI和河文档之子，talent也是刚刚的）。 |

质量,就业和UIUC差不多,只不过UNC气候要好很多. UIUC毕业的去midwest就业可能性大
,UNC毕业去southeast就业可能性大,不过只要进了四大,以后很容易转,想去LA工作也不

The OP is referring to UNC-C, not UNC-Chapel Hill. UNC-C's Finance PhD
program started in 2005 and should at most have 1-2 graduates (if any). Not
too sure about the placement, but they are aiming quite high. Take a look
at the faculty members: from finance, economics, and even mathematics.

funding，北卡的统计基本都是生统，都有biostat的ms压着，在学校里找RA也比较难。
虽然不清楚rutger的ms，但是如果你只打算毕业找工作的话，unc的stat ms不是个好选
择。如果你拿的是unc biostat的ms，倒是可以去，那个program的training和
reputation都很好，而且可能有funding。 |

当不错的公立大学。很多学科/学院水平挺高。比如 public health, pharmacy,
nursing, information science, chemistry 等等文理专业。吃亏在engineering很弱。 |

幅下坡。州长换共和党了，誓言要把北卡变成南卡，要把州立大学变成teaching
college，大幅削减对学校的资助，教授们不管大小都在找下家，学校现在像疯了一样
找alumni要赞助，还US News的排名呢？

点情况：
(1) 孩子刚出生我们也刚买房,UNC的postdoc职位就在本地，可能对家里来说留在本地
更好一些。
(2) 我自己也很想将来有一天能申请到一个tenure-track的职位，所以不知道到底是
DoD的research scientist有利，还是postdoc职位有利. 我是NC State Univ.毕业的，
UNC的综合排名要比我们学校好。两个职位做的方向都和我博士期间方向一致。
(3) 工资是full-time高很多，full-time的不好就是我要每周开5个小时回家陪孩子，
而且每周有4天见不到孩子。
我自己比较没注意，希望各位前辈指点，外加轻拍。。。多谢 |
