般学校有兴趣的话是多久来信要求提供推荐信呢?之后面试的决定又要等多久呢?

they started asking my references for letters in mid feb, by which time i
already had an offer.

universities in Hongkong area. |

anything from them. I would recommend to have it as a back-up. The timeline
is very unpredictable. I finally had to drop it from my list because of long
time for waiting.
Professors at CUHK can speak English, Chinese Mandarin, or Chinese Cantonese
for their lectures. They would prefer that you can speak Cantonese (at
least that is a plus) in addition to English and Pu Tong Hua. HKU is English
