of highly competitive proposals is usually very limited). None of my
competitive proposals have had any luck, however. I suspect my career
proposal may be competitive but not highly-competitive again. I wonder if
there is any way of increasing the probability for a competitve proposal? It
is my fifth year now, and I am kind of in a panic mode since I have not got
good funding record.
My chair suggests me visiting PM. But it is still less than 6 months after
submission. Also, what should I chat with PM? Trying to convince him about
the value of the proposed research?
Any advice will be much appreciated. I am from a small school (ranks ~70 in
computer science).
53 | 3 When talking to PM, should I specifically talk about the proposal or
research in general? Once when I met with one PM, he said we could not
discuss the proposal when it is pending. |
