not slobbering over Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson like a lot of other
media members. I think he's good. They think he's great. One day, he might
be. He isn't yet. You would have thought after his performance Monday night
against the Redskins that he should have just taken off his pads and gone
right to Canton. Why wait? Was Wilson good? Yes. He rushed for a career-high
122 yards and scored a touchdown and threw for 201 yards and two scores. It
was an impressive display.
He made some magical plays that night on scrambles, the kind of plays that
make the national media stand up and salute. I was impressed by some of them
. But having quarterbacks who run for 100 yards isn't a good thing. This is
a passing league. It always will be. And eventually Wilson will have to
handle the pocket better. Most of you will say that a 16-yard scramble is a
positive play, right? So would I. Only when I looked at Wilson's 16-yard
scramble on Seattle's first series against the Redskins, I would have graded
it as a negative play. There are reasons why.

reason is they are able of writing elegant BS even though they have
no clue what the fuck they are writing about.
That idiot was aware of the "negative play" was 3rd and 10. What was
the odd that the receiver dropped the pass, DB made a great play,
a teammate got hit hard and injured for making the "big play", or
RW simply made a poor throw himself? The fact that Redskins only
rushed 4 guys implied the so called "wide open" receivers the writer
listed may not be as open as his tiny brain thinks. A poor throw might
have turned the good drive into an INT.
This idiot still insists it's a better idea making the phantom pass than
holding the ball safely for a big 1st down. He left the pocket "prematurely"
because he saw the wide open running lane. I still remember the play
last season where RW chose to pass and miss on a 3rd and 5 instead of
running for 1st down. After the game he said the only reason was he
counted the down wrong.
This is a big reason why hawks win more than many happy passing QBs' teams,
while some of their fans contribute the difference solely on D or running
games.
