You can rent a dumpster if you have large amount to get rid off at one time.
Or you can just put them in the garage and get rid of a little bit every
week with your trash.
Cut the carpet into 1 feet wide strips, roll it up and tie or tape it into a
roll. It is easy to carry them.

Search for dump in your local area. You can tie them into a bundle. 1 inch
solid hardwood floor can be refinished many times, why do you want to throw
it away.
You can rent a trailer and pull behind your car and take it to the dump (
some places charge by the weight, but not that much)

要不就是我这样，把地毯割成4尺宽的长条，卷好放在车库里。每周扔个5-10卷。
我们这里收垃圾公司要求地毯要卷成不超过4尺长，直径不超过2尺。每周6-10卷。
