标 题: 我的DBA在生成ORACLE table的时候需要一个一个column看

我给他一个100 columns的table, 请他生成一个oracle table, 他说要一个一个column
看, 决定data type, 长度什么的, 然后才能load.
真的有这么笨吗? 难道没有什么自动的方式一下子把数据读进去? | g*****g

but I don't know if you can generate from dump
data. And manual check is always needed for optimization

storing data, also for searching the data.
For example, if the data is a number, but you store it as string, then how
can you find numbers large then 100 or small then 1000 from string quickly?
Yes, you can find it anyway, but you have to wait long time to get the
results.
DBA累不死, Oracle累死了.

If you truly, legimately, have 100K data fields to model, then
your business must warrant hiring more DBA's. 8-)

发帖数: 854 | 7 我门是 research organization. 把data放到oracle里是为了提高performance. 放那
么多columns 进去更多是trial and error, 不知道这算不算合法的理由.
