W500率先使用ddr3内存，领先时间半年，W500热卖, 但是由于DOS机的缘故，联想市场份额虽然扩大但严重亏损。
Thinkpad W510 VS Precision M4500
几乎同步出现，但是后期M4500使用了i7 740QM 840QM 940XM, 而W510退市时依旧是720QM 820QM 920XM，说明销售不给力，当时720QM 820QM 920XM库存都没卖完。这一代移动工作站，联想没能竞争过Dell.
直接结果是，联想果断放弃了W701的后续机型。
Thinkpad W520 VS Precision M4600
几乎同步出现，但是现在W520使用了i7 2760QM 2860QM 2960XM, 而M4600依旧是i7 2720QM 2820QM 2920XM，说明Dell销售不给力，2720QM 2820QM 2920XM库存都没卖完。
结果是，Dell市场份额落后联想，沦为第3大PC厂商。 |

现在用在W510上的i7 720QM, 820QM会被替代成 i7 2720QM, 2820QM. 好像在功率不变
的情况下由于采用了32nm制造工艺，使主频提高一些。整个平台好像也升级了。
Lenovo如果及时跟进的话，可能W系列也会全面升级。W520？？ 一直搞不懂i7 740QM,
840QM早就上市了，但是为什么Lenovo一直不用。难道是等这次直接到下一代平台？
反正到时W510清仓的时候应该有更大的deal。只是不知道时间是多久。 |

I7-2720QM，15.6FHD (1920 X 1080)，NVQ1000M
4GBPC3-10600DDR3 1333SODMM， 500GB HDD7200RPM
用刀现在感觉很棒，和我之前的w510相比，发现有几点很大的改进。
1，很cool，w510不怎么用就到50-60度，而w520一直在40多度徘徊。
2，没有screen freezing （这个在w510上很烦，根本解决不了）
3，我的w510 screen bezel快掉了，这个还好
只有一点有些奇怪，w520开机要1分多，比w510，t410慢好多，不知道什么原因。见到
网上其他人也这样反馈。
总体感觉散热少多了。除了w510，我还用过T410i5，也很热，说明上一点cpu的确是热
老虎。 |

2630qm好处是直接支持4个内存（如果用得上4个槽的话）
2620m只能支持2个，不过2620m贴换2720qm也就几十刀左右，换个U就能支持4内存了（
主板本身都是4个槽的，没有像w510那个时候一样，双核、四核配不同的主板）
其实是个trade-off，主要还是看楼主的应用。开心就好：） |

平心而论，W701是很不错的机器。
比CPU的话，上一代的W701、M6500都是悲剧，但是他们胜在屏幕，再也没有那么好的16：10的屏幕了，还都是全色域的RGB LED背光。
