一位年轻母亲带着1岁的女儿在曼哈顿地铁站的楼梯上失足摔下，不幸身亡。
警方说，周一晚间8时左右，位于曼哈顿中城的七大道地铁站；22岁的母亲古德森(
Malaysia Goodson)在搬运坐有一岁女儿Rhylee的婴儿车下楼时，突然从楼梯上摔下来。
警方到达时，古德森昏迷不醒。她被送往医院，并在那里被宣布去世。她的孩子没有受
到伤害。警方说，当局最初报告称，案发时不确定孩子是否在婴儿车内。
目前还不清楚22岁的古德森是因为失足踩空或是遭遇突如其来的健康问题，才导致意外
的发生。法医将确定死因。
在纽约市472个地铁站中，只有大约四分之一有电梯，现有的电梯往往不能使用。
带着幼童搭乘地铁的家长和照料者经常要一面抬着婴儿车，一面照顾蹒跚学步的孩子上
下楼梯。路人通常会提供帮助，但并非总是如此。
