which means sina is way undervalued at least alibaba thinks so. If sina is
undervalued by this much, then sohu/ntes/bidu/yoku etc are all undervalued.
Anyway, alibaba set this benchmark to give investors some clues on the
valuation of Chinese IT stocks.
I won't chase those stocks anyway because such an event is really hard to
say what will happen next. |

buy on weibo.
1. "rumor" that baidu and 360 are bidding on sogou
2. "rumor" that sohu video may buy pptv
3. "rumor" that sohu will get privatized.

Zhonggai's valuation, and sohu is one of the big beneficiaries.

first, baidu bought pps for 400M and that helps chinese video valuation.
yoku and sohu stock prices benefited from this.
second, this is big. alibaba bough 18% weibo for amazing 586M. This news
basically lifted all IT zhonggai valuation. Sina and sohu are two biggest
gainers.
then, it was rumored that baidu and 360 are bidding sogou with expensive
price. That pushed sohu price to another level.
