那么，这次选举中，华人的表现如何呢？据估算，这次洛杉矶县的投票率只有25%，橙
县30%左右，如果之前有人说的华裔20%，那么相比之下这个比例不算太寒碜。
那么，华人的选票究竟有用没有呢？
事实：
橙县的两个选区，共和党重夺席位，靠的就是亚裔。当然这里边有越南裔韩裔。洛杉矶
主流媒体也都纷纷表示，橙县的这两个翻盘是这次民主党失去super majority的关键原
因，其中主要原因归功共和党开始重视亚裔，并且认同亚裔开始更多关注中产阶级关心
的内容，共和党智库也认为他们终于结束了head scratching，找到了和亚裔的纽带
如果说这俩选区你不觉得你的投票那么重要的话，接下来这个选区

个是对Dem mobilize他的voter base最有利的。这是中期选举，voter turn out 是非
常少的。通常absentee ballot会主流。能把African American和Hispanic赶去voting
booth最有效的办法是在Ballot有一个racial charged的bill。

我们华人，作为亚裔，不能当哑裔。
我们要投票，我们要参政。
我们要发出自己的声音，我们要让自己的利益得到保护。
要点说明：
1. 选民登记截止日期：2014年5月19日
2. 选民网上登记网站：
http://registertovote.ca.gov/
3. 以邮寄方式投票，可申请“缺席选票”(absentee ballot)，截止日期：2014年5月
27日
4. 初选日期：2014年6月3日上午7时至晚间8时
5. 加州采取“开放式初选”(open primary)模式，即选民登记时无论支持哪一个党派
，都可以投票支持任何一个政党任何一名候选人；得票数领先的两名候选人进入11月正
式选举。
6. 登记成为选民不会增加承担法庭陪审团义务(jury duty)的机会，因为法院抽签遴选
陪审团成员是以机动车管理部(DMV)驾驶执照数据库为主要依据。

这是前几天PK的CM Jason给我们的，
“
Hey all, just wanted to let you know that absentee numbers so far are
showing Asian voter turnout up. Asian voters have surpassed normal cycle
percentages in Alameda county already, and we have not reached election day,
this is a very good sign. Your hard work is paying off it seems!
”
这个大概一周前。所以我们的努力也算没有完全白费。
但还是不够，PK要赢下来，我算过要50%左右投票率才有把握，也就是2个亚裔注册选民
