like to meet. There are interviews. Exams. And pages of questions for

发考题们给了博士offer的原因,别的不八卦:)哈哈
照说本科生得让发考题们认为极其有科研的潜质,才能打败无数硕士生,发考题们才
会直接给本科生offer直攻博士;
看这份简历,我的感觉是
1.本科成绩好,会读书
2.参加了很多国内老师的项目,参加了一些海外老师的暑期短期项目,有些学术锻炼和想
法,但无明显成果,可能人缘好,会来事;但不排除夸大自己作用的可能
3.得了一些奖学金,国内高校基本上成绩好加积极参加学校各项活动,对老师会来事,自
然就能得.
3.英语写的好
4.积极参加各种活动,精力充沛,勤奋,把自己的时间,安排的满满当当的,有废寝忘食的
倾向.
5.非常有计划性和目的性,经过几年奋斗,作为本科学生,已经达到面面聚到的无短板程
度.
作为本科生,这份简历无疑是优秀的;但是却无法直接得出极其有科研的潜质的结论;相
反无数硕士生申请攻博士,由于年龄大一些和工作经历,也许本科成绩绩点低一些,得的
奖学金项目少一些,但是有实践经验,多数还会有1-2篇海外(尽管可能级别和影响不高)

要求timeout, 不服从，aide强行把他带到timeout的地方，小孩踢了打了aide. aide
有些scratch和mark. 然后aide filed了police report，小孩被开除，要求在家里学
习。
前几天学校叫小孩去学校参加mandatory test, 要求家长在。小孩和妈妈去了，然后
小孩被逮捕，在监狱里自己带了一个晚上，第二天上庭后释放。5月11日再次上法庭。

Children's academy最大的好处是老师非常稳定，过去3年就没换过。几乎每个老师都
对小孩很好，而且preschool和kindergarten 教很多东西。今年学费每月还降了100多
块。preschool现在每月1000.当然这里硬件是没法和creme比的。creme那里很多中国小
孩，一是贵，二是听说老师换得很频繁。

发帖数: 5407 | 35 NJ Monthly的高中排名每年变化太大，失去可信度。 尤其那些亚裔多的学校，不
知道怎么的，这两年大多跳水，比如Tenafly，多少年稳居前三名，现在一下子掉到17.
别提大普林斯顿地区了，全部落榜：过去这里的四所高中全部是前十几名。
现在前十名大多是亚裔不到10%的学校。 估计他们就是要多让一些学校上过榜，
多赚一些眼球和引用。反正亚裔多的地区房地产基本已经恢复。
前二十名只有Basking Ridge和Holmdel高中比较稳定，六年三次排名都在十名左右
，摇摆不超过五名（这两个白区学校亚裔都接近20%)。其他几乎都经过激烈震荡。
Marlboro High School一下从123名冲到前十名，实在是开玩笑. 在greatschools
上只有八分。
如果把magnet school算进去， Monmouth county八所第一，
Bergen七所第二， Morris County四所第三。 但是，Morris , Somerset,
Exxex County没有magnet school, 对擅长理工的亚裔学生不利, 也助长了这些

到academy买hunting license，有德州驾照就可以买，20还是25我忘了，什么课都不用
上。然后拿着hunting license，你的护照，还有i94，驾照，到59和kirby路口的那家
academy，记住最好到那家，别的academy很可能不会办h1b买枪的手续，然后找个借口
就不卖给你。他会让你填个表，很简单，然后要通过FBI的背景调查，第一次买一般要
等三天，通过之后会打电话叫你去拿枪。我的第二把枪在45往南过了610南线的一家
academy买的，他们也会卖给你，但是业务不是很熟，所以最好还是去上面说的那家去

收到枪才三天，已经在版上学到不少东西了。到现在我都觉得神奇，我已经买到枪了。
想起之前的各种惴惴不安和放狗狂搜。我觉得我的经历对在我大得州又没有SSN的学生
朋友们还是有样本意义的。趁还记得，赶紧写下来。
首先要明确，没有SSN+F1签证/whatever签证，是可以合法购枪的，不管是手枪还是步
枪。如果遇到不专业而且没文化的店员，一定要记得教育他们，联邦法律说了，有猎照
后可以买。不管他们松不松口，至少也算是为后来人铺铺路。交涉过程中一定要理！直
！气！壮！我这有亲身经历，第一次随口问了下一家Academy枪柜店员，是一老头子。
跟我说，不能买。那我就说，联邦法说了如果有hunting license我们可以买（我是用
的gun，而不是firearm）。老头就犯嘀咕了，跟我说：那也只能买长枪去打猎。这就可
以看出，他什么都不懂。即使没买到，但下次外星人来问，老头就可能从买长枪嘀咕到
也可以买手枪了。如果现场要你证明，怎么就可以买了？不用慌，要填的背景调查表背
