Contract Bridge League）的比赛。一般bridge players 参加这种比赛，都是为了拿
mp (masterpoints), 而像ACBL举办的比赛，也根据players有多少masterpoints来分组
，而且收费也不同。你说的这个比赛，在网页上好像比较难找这些信息。当然也不能说
是骗钱。但是你为什么要去youth bridge呢，直接去正式的bridge tournament 不好吗？ |

rather intensively in the 1st year or so. It took me a little over a year to
become life master some 8 years ago.
You should go read my article "中美桥牌体制对比" somewhere, just google it
to get some idea on acbl system. If you can't find it, I know ustc bbs has
it.
It was really not very hard at all then to become LM, but very hard now, in
my opinion. Since if you join ACBL after 2000 or so, they imposed that you

美以前在中国打牌的高手就不能公正评价其水平。因为他们打牌水平很好但是没有或者
很少的ACBL大师分。但是对本地人这个办法还算说的过去。 |

、德国的退赛，主要原因是在2014年欧锦赛上发现的三对牌手作弊的证据，从而证明三

学过的bidding技巧有jacoby transfer, stayman,etc，好像是用acbl的sayc，据说还
有一套英国系统
玩80分我一般只记AKQJ出来没有

rubber中国叫盘式桥牌，就是尽量多的拿顿。队式，瑞士移位和盘式桥牌的叫牌打牌策略完全不同。我移位式的打得多，但当年技巧也差。
杰克贝转移叫，是NT后常用方法，斯台曼是问A，K。acbl在美国用的多好象欧洲和亚洲就不行了。我一般用自然，当年和同伴用魏重庆的中华精准。
叫牌里还有扣叫，爆裂叫（splinter)，满贯首攻指示叫（Drake你还记得名字吗，就是别攻明手叫过的那门），很多很多。80分我现在属于纯娱乐，太较真，LP会不理我的。也没法享受打牌的快乐了。 |

There are quite a few decent Chinese players in bay area.
I'm sure you can meet some if you go to a regional or
sometime sectionals (the most recent nearby regional is the
Sacramento regional, if I'm not mistaken). In fact if you
follow ACBL news, then you probably would have known that
some chinese players have placed high in prestigious
national events lately.
I'm not sure club, unit or League games would be too
exciting, though. Top players will not play in clubs or even
sectionals.

it. (their agreement of 3C was 2nd suit)
I did call the director after opener made another move after the slow 4NT. But
the opponents probably know that they'll lose the appeal so they did not admit
that there was a break in temp with 4NT. Since we cannot establish that fact,
the director ruled in their favor.

You can find the office of Beijing Bridge Association in the 2nd floor.
If you are in other Cities, you may to Sport Shop to these stuff, Or you can
book it from China Contract Bridge Association.

states now.
ACBL's convention card is colored in yellow, that's probably where SAYC got
its name from. that shows how popular it is here.
In terms of bidding in internet bridge, IMHO, it is all about CC. When you
partner with strangers. don't assume s/he has ever used or understood unusual
2NT, for example, if not mutually agreed as an additional convention. Had

ACBL general chart should even ban signals like smith echo and its
permutation, as it could offer unfair advantage to those who did not know
them...
But still I think the best signal is the one you are most familiar with it.
Both Peter and Weishu play standard signal which I felt a bit inferior to
upside down, but we hardly had any misunderstandings in that area.

personal feelings and prejudices, let's just talk about bridge.
I think it's natural for people to explore the weakness of the law if the law
is not mature enough. And the process of maturing the regulation may take
several generations. Just lamenting among our groups wouldn't move things. If
you have strong opinion, write to your district representative/director. After
all ACBL is a democratic body.

such as giving up at the hopeless, how to deal with your/pd's/teammates
mistakes, having good assessment of yourself, etc. And, to actually succeed in
tournaments like ACBL's, you actually need organizational and communicational
skills off the table.

is the most stupid of all. But then those color requirements for LM are all
stupid anyway. ACBL might be much better off in, say, requiring that to
achieve LM, one needs at least one regional open win. Then maybe you will see
people flood to those small, obscure regionals which currently has 40ish pairs
in the open pairs, to win that as well. And the pro's would certainly like to
see that since some will never have a s |

If you are interested in "science", ie, serious game, a good starting point is
to join ACBL and play tournament/masterpoints/blue ribbon Q, etc. That is what
some of the members on this board have been doing.
However, if you are just looking for some fun, gathering at someone's place,
play some kitchen bridge, some 贴点 game, nickle/dime/quarter a point, 边打边
聊 type, it is probably not a good idea to go to BBO. 中游和联众 are more |
