一直不知道这Staff Accountant和Senior Staff Accountant是怎么区分的。是按照工
作的年数还是工作的具体内容啊？
我之前在一家小公司工作了不到两年，因为当时会计部门流动性很大，以至于不得不学
着做各种各样的事情。所以当时的Accounting manager在写每个员工的职责时，给我的
title居然是Senior Staff Accountant。而且CFO也当面跟我提过，说我虽然工作时间
不长，但是得到了人家可能需要3、5年才能学到的经验。但是我自己心里还真是没底，
所以现在正在找工作，简历上也只敢写Staff Accountant，不敢加上Senior。 |

information system,只是不允许accounting。但也有例外。我记得一个老印不知为啥
她不需要补intermediate accounting I。她的accounting是在印度学的。
还有一点我忘说了，我们学校最多只允许转2门。估计是穷疯了，要多赚钱。 |

qualified to take CPA exams.
CPA and MBA, it surely can help you long-term career development. If MBA
only, depends on which kind of school, if it's not a top school, I know
someone, who has a MBA degree from a so so school, working as an accounting
clerk. An accounting clerk is not an accountant and only can earn half
salary of the accountant. So, if you want to be a MBA and have a bright

因为我不是accounting major(我是Economics/Finance major的）
CA 的CPA考试需要 24units in Accounting and 24units in Business/Finance
我的专业里没有任何accounting的课
但后来有在community college 拿了一些accounting的classes
想问一下， 是不是任何Accounting的课都可以算啊？譬如说(ACCT140, ACCT 100..etc
这种显示在transcript上的)
很怕自己apply时 被说学分不够。。。
还有大家都是自己看书复习吗？ 还是有去拿类似 Rogers Online Review Class...的
Review class??这些review class 真的不便宜啊。。。$2000+++
不知道值不值得拿？

industry job呀, 干吗要去读accounting 硕士呢? 要去读有以下问题:
你要不要考GMAT申请? 学校不大可能你要读就给你读, 这毕竟不是选一两们课那么简单
.
学费怎么解决?
你还要写paper毕业, 你要去读accounting了, 你还有时间写博士论文吗? 还能正常按
时毕业吗? 你的导师会同意你去读吗?
就算你读了, 考过了CPA, 那只是对你找accounting的工作有用, 对找econ或统计类的
工作没有什么用, 你又何苦呢?
我的建议, 博士论文做empirical的东西, 计量经济学学好, SAS等统计软件用好, 到毕
业时找industry的工作还是很有希望的. 收入也会比accounting job高.
如果你是讨厌econ, 想转行, 那就索性去学accounting. |

accounting faculty. Accounting research is totally different from accountng
teaching. The other day I talked to an accounting AP from MIT who does
research in corporate bonds and derivatives, totally nothing to do with pure
accounting knowledge. He told me he could teach, but certainly not a good
teacher. If you graduate from LBS, I think your focus will be on research,
NOT on teaching. So take it easy. |

至于你说的FINANCE出路比ACCOUNTING好多了，也难申请多了，这一点我持保留意见吧
，这个东西真的有点见仁见智
我是finance 的PHD，目前上网看到的意见和我周围的人的感觉是两者差不多，所以才
经常拿出来比较
我们department的人也许是站着这山看那山高，因为我们学校acounting AP的收入比
finance的确实高，而且accounting毕业的人找工作也比较容易，需求高，基本上找到
faculty工作的finance毕业生都是去了至少有MSF的学校。但是这个比较就跟在市场上
是在四大工作的好还是在投行工作的好一样，不同的方向有不同的见解。而这个争论最
后的结论往往是，由于两者的工资分布并不是正态分布，一个左偏一个右偏所以各有各
的好。
我发这个帖子的重点并不是争论谁好谁不好，只是想说，accounting phd的竞争很激烈

The reason I want the sub account to be a primary one is that I want to
share data with it. (I have a sub account that has exceeded the 600M data
limit according to my k88. I set data limit to be 585m but it did not stop

情。
这不最近rate降得厉害，前不久就开始张罗refi的事，我们是，410K，30年，fixed.想
从5.125 作到4.5.
还找的是上次作refi的那个银行，只不过换了个broker.说好了no cost.
昨天给我打电话说，这个周末就可以close，不过需要我的另一个银行帐号（后来才知
道，嫌我们帐上钱太少）。一问，居然这次要放$7k 在escrow accounts上。包括2个月
的property tax,2个月的home insurance,还有第三季度的interest. 虽然话说得好听
，这个钱最后还是我们的。可是一下压那么多，心里还是很纠结。
而且，到现在我也没弄清楚这个escrow account具体是怎么运作的。我们去年refi的时
候就放了2K在escrow account上，后来还是照样每个月付morgage(什么都包在里面）
，也没见到从这个account里出呀。
这里的仙妈仙爸们，能不能帮忙看一下，一下放那么多在escrow account靠谱吗？另外
不是一定非要这个es |

发帖数: 10265 | 44 不行，escrow account跟着LOAN走，即使是同一个lender,换LOAN就要开新的escrow
account。但是escrow account一般不包括下一次的本金和利息。只是closing的时候通
常需要你要预付一次，这样算下来，可能是会比预计的费用要增加，但是理论上这个钱
不应该包括在escrow account里。
一旦closing了，每月的费用是固定的，如果银行觉得收你的escrow account那部分多
了，之后会退一些并且调整你的月供，但是before the lender does that, you have
to pay the full monthly payment.
不欠贷款的房子当然没有这个问题，BB早就不知道这是啥了，呵呵 |
