首先，很多美国人是很鄙视律师的，因为 lawyer === liar，在律师眼里，只有利益，没有是非。 民主党的政客大多数是律师出身，能言善辩，总能把黑的说成白的，白的说成黑的，怎么说更符合自己的利益就怎么说，比如克林顿，奥八蟆，戈尔，爱德华兹，拜登之流 (拜登在法学院读书的时候因为剽窃，得了一个F)。 DREAM 通过，对移民律师有利，又有生意做了，所以所有的律师都在鼓噪。
每次国会提出对职业移民有利的法案，民主党西裔议员一律反对。按照律师在这篇文章的逻辑，我们是不是也可以推断：如果连合法移民的提案都不能通过，将来怎么可能通过关于非法移民的提案呢？职业移民的提案如果能够通过，应该有利于其它移民提案的通过，所以这些西裔议员应该支持关于职业移民的提案才对啊？这些反对职业移民提案的西裔议员难道是傻子？当然不是！他们知道如果让职业移民提案通过，他们就没有什么可以要挟共和党和美国企业界了，非法移民合法化希望会更加渺茫。同意道理，如果让民主党单独通过一个关于非法移民的提案，增加职业移民名额的希望会变得更加渺茫，因为又少了一个和民主党讨价还价的资本了。... 阅读全帖 |

Latino一直认为民主党是他们的代言人，主要就是因为Dream Act.
那么共和党实际上可以及时提出自己的梦想法案，然后在House快速通过，扔给senate
去表决。
这会让民主党非常痛苦，因为该法案是他们志在必得的东西。如果通过了共和党的议案
，相当于把credits扔给了共和党。如果不通过该议案或者置之不理，让他们在Latino
的人群中失去信心。
实际上上次FL的Republican senator就说要提出自己的Dream Act, 然后这个消息一出
，立刻在Dream Kid中引起了很大的分化，有些人立刻对这样的提议表示支持。可惜让
人失望的是，他最后没有提这个法案。

创业投资移民来美的门槛可能会再降低。华尔街日报16日指出，国会参议员柯瑞(
John Kerry，民主党)和鲁加(Richard Lugar，共和党)今年2月提出的帮助外国企业家
顺利来美的创业签证法案(Start-up Visa Act)，获得两党议员的支持，最快可望明年1
月再度提出。
这项法案主张设立「创业签证」，外国出生的企业家筹措到10万美元创投资金或获
得总额25万美元的股权融资(equity financing)，在美国创立公司，即可获得绿卡，申
请人必须在两年内创造至少五个工作(雇用配偶或子女不算)。
美国目前有一种门槛过高的EB-5投资签证，规定移民要在美国投资至少100万元和

影响。Affordable Care Act (ACA)明年就开始实施了，据说收入分配是会尽量倾斜于
预防医疗，家庭医生，小的诊疗单位，而不是大的医疗中心。大家知道住院医program
都是大的医疗中心才有，这样的话是不是连带会影响住院医的招收数目呢？
纽约市中心医院(NY downtown hospital)因为破产，被长老教会医院New York-
Presbyterian hospital 接受。刚开始纽约市中心医院的住院医们还暗自高兴，以
为自己的program会变成长老教会医院这个更好的牌子。长老教会医院的负责人暗示他
们不会要有工会的住院医，纽约市中心医学中心的住院医就忙不迭地退出工会了。没想
到长老教会医院翻脸不认人，一下把原来的纽约市中心医学中心住院医program全被砍
了，住院医们气疯了也没用，不得不拼了命的找地方。
其实象纽约市中心医学这样负债累累的医院还不再少数，问题是在Affordable Care
