你就是歧视，看看申请哈佛的，有3400学生是毕业年级第一名，没有录取的第一名是否
也可说歧视。所有的SAT满分而被拒的是否更有权力讲歧视。
我们这里一个非常好的学校，一千多毕业生，第一名和第三名都是小中男，结果
Stanford和Princeton都录取了第三名，全拒了第一名。名校要录的不仅仅是best，人
家要录的是best加 Fit。
申请学校要写很多essay，你没有把你的passion和excellence通过essay传达给
Admission officer 呢？很多学校会有一篇essay，也许题目不同，但主题是同一个Why
Stanford， Why Yale，学校不是要知道你多想上这学校，人家想知道你是否fit这个
2018class,你能为这个学校做什么? 你会在这个 class of 2018起什么作用？

无疑Harvard的名声地位更高。但这种排名只能作参考。如果学工程，斯坦福高出至少
一个层次；文理差不多；管理同级，Harvard也许略强；法学院，斯坦福更强；医学院
，Harvard高出一个层次。这些只是大致。
如果只论本科，大部分新生可能更按HYPS来。加进工程，有M。从本科入学看，认为

Cornell Overall Admit Rate at 24.7%
6,927 students were admitted out of 28,097 applicants, for a 24.7 percent
acceptance rate. Last year's overall admit rate was 26.1 percent. Total
applications increased 15 percent, which is the second year in a row that
Cornell has seen applications increase by double digits.
Cornell received 2,849 early decision applicants and admitted 1,110, for an

Getting in can be grueling.
Students may be asked to submit a 15-page typed research paper, an original
short story, or a handwritten essay on the historical figure they would most
like to meet. There are interviews. Exams. And pages of questions for
parents to answer, including: How do you intend to help this school if we
admit your son or daughter?
These aren't college applications. They're applications for seats at charter
schools.

of the Internal Revenue laws and filing false tax returns. Mr. Lipukhin, a
