本上饱和了。
生物的东西没有经验，就算research statement说要做也没人会信。
能想到的就是搭上advanced manufacturing
PhD和现在做的最多的就是MEMS, micro-mechanical resonators, GHz MEMS motion
metrology using laser, pump-and-probe。基本上就是高频振动的MEMS/NEMS，
nanofabrication和用激光来测量这类器件。
最近搜了些和这些都相关但是又搭上advanced manufacturing这个热点的东西，比如
motion/position precision metrology, manipulation and process control for
advanced manufacturing。搜出一些东西，但还是一头雾水。诚心请教未来的研究方向
该怎么把握？ |

可是我还有两个疑问：
一 Advance 和 regular 的申请， 在申请材料方面有什么差别？
二 同时申请advance 的加急处理， package到底该寄往vermont 中心的哪个地址（我
在 Maryland)？ 在I-129 instruction (expires on .5/31/2008) 的 15 页 给出了两
个 U.S Master Cap 的 premium processing 地址。 另外，在uscis 的网站上的
direct filing address 给出的地址与其中一个相同。

deposit不算money in advance，所以就用了citi的credit card deposit了100刀，然
后很快就拿到了100刀的bonus。但是今天citi信用卡账单出来时看到扣了5刀的in
advance transaction fee，还有79 cents的利息。faint，chase明明说了不算 money
in advance 嘛。有没有可能打电话给citi 把这个费用给waive掉。谢谢 |

因为有可能需要在国内待更长的时间，所有想申请Renew advance parole。
但是只能在过期前120天申请。如果在出发前没有被批准，我知道那个Renew 申请会被

，他们给了个标准版的，列了一些客观事实，基本满足USCIS的要求，还多了一些东西
，比如查询电话。可是他们没法提供：prospects for future employment and

能看到各区的成绩，那些好学区，都是advanced+proficient: 95%左右。
state total: 54116人，78%的学生数学advanced+proficient，其中有50%的人
advanced, 28%的人proficient,剩下的就是need improvement和warning/fail.真不知
道这比例怎么算出来的。以前是能做对一半就proficient了。。。
一个半小时的单科考试，从早8点做到12点，没做完还可以有extra time....说今年是
14年来最好成绩。Patrick表示很开心啊！ |
