barrel, when you moving your gun aiming around, the laser will also moving
around, and it will rest on the first object it hit, that's pretty much how the 3d
aiming works, the z will be determined by the first object the laser meet.

今天，来讨论seatown，话说这seatown，坐落在丝绸之路上，有着上千年的历史。。。

总体来说，seatown的地形是复杂的，屋子房子众多，所以这个图，我建议ks里有直升
机，predator导弹什么的。非常好多，但是UAV仍旧很重要
宽阔地域只有东侧和南面的两片广场。这也早就了第一个狙点，东南角两层小楼，D。
但是！！这个小楼非常的不好守,首先它有两个楼梯，一个阳台，三个门（二楼两个，
一楼一个）。而且视野也不算太好，从D看H，H是在阴影里的，而且H附近有个小箱子，
上去后正好爬墙头能看到D。近端的小楼G，也可以从窗户看到D。但是这些仍旧不能组
织D成为本图最流行的狙点，因为一杆NB的狙在D能控制相当一大片地皮。而且因为D的
出口众多，虽然难守，但是也意味着便于逃跑。
林外一个狙点是E，E与D之间有一片快阔地，两地距离正好是狙击枪的范围。所以经常
能碰到两边对枪的情况。E也有三个出口，但是E有一个最大的缺陷，E没有房顶，所以

Guess you don't understand the importance of adjusting your aim based on
your previous shot. Rapid firing guns makes this a valuable practice,
because enemy position doesn't change too much in the 10-15 seconds since
your previous shot. Slow firing gun can't take advantage of this technique
because in the 1 minute between your shots, enemy position had changed
enough to make the information on previous shot irrelevant.

an enough deterrent to impede the enemy's movement. The hit rate can be so
low for a machine gunner, but he did his job by just firing at the right
direction and location.
A rifleman shoots to kill. So naturally his rate is higher than the machine
gunner, but that doesn't mean the machine gunner is a lousy one...

充足的理由灭, Stark Industry当时还是军火商, 和AIM是直接竞争对手, 后来倒是没
有竞争关系了. 如果满大人是十戒的老大, 不杀Tony是合理的, 因为满大人只和Iron
Man有仇, Tony当时还不是Iron Man. 而基里安是十戒的老大, 不杀Tony就不合理, 因
为基里安只和Tony有仇, 和Iron Man没有过节.
我记得拍1的时候本来是准备后来把满大人拿来做反派的, 估计后来觉得不合适, 就改
成现在这个样子. 反正娱乐片看了乐了就行了, 彩蛋什么的也不要当真了...
3里没说坏人的目的是啥. 脑补一下. AIM是科技公司, 研究项目里有生化兵器 (超级士
兵), 类似Umbrella. 自导自演恐怖袭击唯一合理的理由就是类似华氏911, 制造假想敌
让政府有理由可以变态发展军工, 然后AIM作为武器贩子就可以在政府支持下合法的扩

出的解释, 当时是合理的, 但是把它放到3的设定里就说不通了. 这种娱乐片拍的时候
根本就没想那么多.
911之后在新总统的支持下, 当然所有合同都是给AIM. Tony早就不造军火了, 让他造他
也不会造的, 电影里Pepper也表示过了. 另外美国政府最喜欢搞这种不成熟的技术, 类
似超级士兵计划什么的, 根本不会在意不稳定的...电影世界观里影子议会还想让
憎恶(海上钢琴师)加入复仇者, 被Fury巧妙的拒绝了...
AIM和十戒都是漫画里存在的组织, 电影里就是让他们出现一下而已, 完全就没想那么

也没有任何关系...你所有的假设都是国安局查不出来之后怎么办, 那不就正好说明了
满大人是多余的, 因为通过爆炸物根本查不出. 你需要考虑的是, 国安局查出线索之后
, 满大人如何帮AIM摆脱干系. 我是想不出来...
另外tony找的所谓线索也很二, 两处爆炸的特殊性和相似点太多了, 光是我这个普通人

去年申请5个地方，一个Onsite。去了才知道悲剧了。The Chair喜欢我的背景，但有一
个大Group很不原意我去。这个Group是一个英国人领导，有另一个年轻的英国人，一对
新招的印度夫妇，和三个美国人。这7个人做同一个病，我的工作在不同的一个病。三
个老美还好。 问题出在英国人。第一天才到Hotel，年轻的英国Faculty就要和我谈。
这次谈话没有事先约定。一见面就说我们的研究有很大Overlap，因为我们都做Gene
Regulation。我去前读过他的文章，知道我们的方向很不一样，而且研究Subject也不
一样。很Shocking。第二天见一对印度夫妇，也是才坐下就说有Huge Overlap， 了解
才知道他们做很少的Regulation。反复各种解释，我们的工作不一样：不同的病，不同

人来疯一把~~接着说我的牛同事二，恩。
该同事虽然外表特别落迫特别颓废，但有时候我猛一抬头，经常觉得他其实长得很惊艳
，而且个子很高，肩膀很宽厚，有一次我无意中看见他的胳膊，妈呀，从来没见过这么
粗壮的上臂，我简直惊呼，问他是不是平时练举重，他说why？我说你胳膊真粗啊！！
他只说：我以前练过。
因为和我一起干活，需要经常讨论工作，但是又坐得离我不近，所以他就建议我俩在办
公室里用AIM联系。活不忙的时候，我们俩就在AIM上聊天，在外人眼里他还是那么
reclusive，可是早就在AIM上和我聊得不亦乐乎了。
有一次我忘了聊什么了，说到学英语，我开玩笑说：你美国人多好，又不需要象我们这

？他说：我想到中国去看看，我的制造厂在深圳。我说什么制造厂？他说是他在网上联

Reason 1.
Web servers often need to deal with images intimately. At the minimum, it
needs to read the width and height, and resize the image, while avoiding any
round-trip to the disk. The whole processing time has to be less than a
second for almost all websites.

就是：都要。最好的做法是从头到尾既要提你五年内的具体目标，也要强调你的远期规划
，还有具体目标怎么服务于远期规划。在最后的aim之后，最好在加上一段future
research，这里可以忽悠到十年甚至更远。
整个写research plan的过程，老板中间看了一次，然后逼我加强忽悠，我改过了以后
，老板就比较满意了。这个plan，基本象个R01，timeline, aim 都分得很细。但是每
个大aim结束的时候，贴上了一小段话，讨论这一段research对我的职业发展有什么好
处，这期间我准备结合research做什么career training。这招是参考同组的一牛人的K
application学的。
如果说research plan有点忽悠得话，这个career plan简直是要无中生有了。我当时刚
从鹤立鸡群的战术里解放出来，还真没想过career。当时申请K99，就是冲着钱去的，
没意识到这钱会给我的将来带来很大的不同。我老板也是只想着找点钱来继续这个项目

A lot of experiences tell me, you won't lose much if you shoot for higher.
To be safe, you need to always over prepare things, including interviews,
projects, etc.
Otherwise you will risk not doing enough.
Even if you are not aiming for being a faculty, aiming for it does not hurt
but only help. Just an example.
But if you are aiming the lowest possible, you risk not getting there. |
