Just your average plinking ammo. You will need to buy more then one box to
offset the cost of shipping, otherwise it's not a good deal.
This is fairly cheap online, unless you want to buy reloaded ammo, steel or
aluminum or Russian.

in. I figured I'd share what I found in case anyone else lives in states
where wally world doesn't sell ammo
Shipping rates are based on shipping to NJ.
Ranges near me don't allow steel casings, so that eliminates most of the
REALLY cheap stuff for me...

This AK shoots a considerably cheaper and more accurate 5.45x39 round, which
is much thinner then the 7.62x39 round fired from the AK-47 (and variants).
This round is much deadlier as it tends to yaw when it hits a soft target,
much like the NATO round from an AR-15. The downside is that you have to
look for it as your local gun shop probably won't have this in stock, while
they will have 7.62x39.
