个吧，看视频、FaceTime等从来不卡。AirPlay也很稳定。遇到停电自己重启，从来不
用管，我好几个朋友家的路由器遇到停电就不行了，还要手动重启。
总之，很满意。现在家里一个Airport Extreme，一个Airport Express连打印机和音响
，足够了。目前没有设备可以用802.11ac，因此也就先不升级新的Airport Extreme了
。也许哪天上个Time Capsule备份吧。 |

买了一个翻新的airport extreme代替变砖的WNDR3700。
挺好看，安装的时候术语不习惯，用了半个小时才弄明白是怎么回事儿。放在电脑桌上
，信号覆盖感觉一般，有的地方比3700好，有的地方差。双频都用上，Intel 5100网卡
可以连到300MBps，但是兼容性一般，ASUS的双频网卡就卡在54Mbps。都是支持WPA2作为
primary encryption的。Airport没有特别花哨的功能，有的功能都听实用，比如guest
network设计就不错。
性能很一般，和3700比差不少，不管是有线还是无线。
屋子的另一端买个Airport Express延伸以下，再到周末应该能寄到了。 |

想问下，这样一个系统，一个airport express够用么？airport extreme和time
capsule 好贵阿，求指教，还有过来人指点经验。谢谢阿？

are pretty big, it is a two-lane exit, you cann't miss it. GPS works too,
but when you get to airport, you have to watch signs again to find the right
terminal (arrival). Anyhow, there are only two arrival terminals at SD

downtown附近靠步行玩一个白天，晚上的飞机走人。
现在纠结的问题是到底住downtown还是airport，自己一个人不想折腾行李，所以想住
在airport附近，第二天寄存行李在hotel，傍晚回去取行李就近去airprot。不过看起
来airport离downtown很远啊，怕早上起来折腾轻轨什么的出去到downtown就比较晚了
，所以又有点动摇想要住在downtown。

结果今天出了新的固件，支持所有802.11n的Airport Extreme和Time Capsule
声称改进了USB
以前做无线备份的时候觉得速度比较慢。更新之后移动一个大文件可以稳定超过5MB/s
的速度，虽然不是奇快，但是记得以前之后2-4MB/s，当时网友们说是因为Airport
Extreme的USB芯片处理数据速度不够快。
反正我感觉速度是提高了。dual-band的和Time Capsule的USB盘速度比我这个快，不知
道更新之后是否回更快。
哦对了，想起来如果网络不用WPA2加密，无线备份速度会快很多。
所以CPU速度应该有很大影响。搜索了一下，网上2007年的测评，也是<4MB/s的读写速
度。所以现在> 5MB确实是改进了。 |

你要买的是路由器，Airport Extreme，用来接DSL，Modem之类上网的，替代你现在的
router。
Express更像是一个中继器，repeater, 用来扩充你的无线网的，不是你现在router的
替代。
你房子的大小任何decent的路由器都不应该有问题。
Dual Band是指同时支持Wifi 2.4G和5G的，不是加宽你的带宽，但是如果你有支持5GHz
的wifi卡的话，比如Macbook，或者笔记本Intel 62XX, 63XX, 53XX之类的网卡，5GHz
上都可以达到300MBPS的速度（理论，实际速度还有效率要远低于这个，1/2就不错了）
。Extreme支持的功能是同时2.4和5G，这样你不支持5GHz的device也不会受到影响，比
如iPhone。支持5GHz的device可以得到更快的访问速度，比如MBA， iPad（虽然我觉得
iPad不需要那么快的wifi网速）。
你两台机器一起看视频你是看哪里的视频？要是都是online stream的和你的网速有关

200USD，但是记得当时打折，另外自己有个credit，全下来150还是170USD来着。左右
用了一年多，觉得非常满意。据说苹果已经discontinue自己家的路由了，有点可惜。
0. 作为路由器，苹果这款功能不算花哨。但是一直感觉苹果在同等配置情况下愿意用
质量比较好的电子零件，所以这个路由器信号强劲稳定，覆盖面积好，几乎从不当机需
要重启什么的。AE这款速度是Wireless AC的，后面三个以太网输出，一个USB 2.0接口
（这个按现在来说很过时了，但我觉得实际上不是很大的问题，后面会详说）。普通的
AirPort Basic比较便宜，但我记得是Wireless N的，好像也没USB接口，就没考虑。
软件方面，只要是有iPhone，iPad，Mac这类的，都有一个免费的AirPort的App，设置
及其容易，技术小白（文科女生）两分钟都能搞定。
我觉得这个路由器有两个好用的特点，特别是和Mac配合使用。
