“check to be sure you have a adequate disk space, if a driver is
identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check woth manufacture
of driver update. Try changing video adapters.
check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updtes. Disable BIOS's memory
option such as caching and shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to
remove or disable compenons restart your computer, press F8 to select
advanced startup options and then select safe mode. |

现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不

和毛子比差远了。其实人均用量的说法不很准确，用人均看，其实白人80%的酒都是
alcoholics消耗掉了，这一下平均就上去了。alcoholics是酒精上瘾的，每天都得喝个
几两，不然这一天就没法过。这种alcoholics，白人里比中国人多多了，中国人里几乎
很少有这样的人。
这是为什么？这要从人为什么嗜好酒精说起。人天生就嗜好酒精，这是进化决定的。水
果成熟后糖分转化成乙醇，所以成熟水果都含有少量的酒精。人类对成熟水果的偏好造
成了进化成对酒精的嗜好。在采集狩猎社会，人类很少有机会接触高度酒精饮料，所以
这种嗜好对人类的负面影响几乎没有。
只有进入农业社会后，人类第一次有了大量的余粮或葡萄可以酿酒，人类中也就出现了
最早的alcoholics。很明显alcoholics是对人类个体生存繁衍不利的基因，这些人沉迷
酒精饮品，不事生产，性活动也不活跃，后代还可能因为酒精中毒而痴呆。显然在农业
社会中这是一种要被淘汰的基因。

并且提到曾经给自己的女儿试验过。对此我善意提醒如下：
酒精－－乙醇，有着强烈的刺激性，50％的酒精会造成组织脱水。
滴入儿童耳道50％的酒精，会造成强烈的烧灼样疼痛。
儿童18个月到6岁之间容易患中耳炎，主要原因是
儿童耳道发育不全，耳道短浅，鼓膜及其后面的神经都处于发育阶段。
由于乙醇的脱水作用，会造成鼓膜损伤。
在鼓膜有小穿孔的情况下，乙醇会造成儿童听神经，面神经等鼓膜后神经的不可逆损伤。
我了解大家经常会听说美国有 alcohol 的滴耳液，并且在家就可以自行配置这种滴耳
液。

Match的结果终于尘埃落定，周1等电邮的时候非常紧张，因为成败就在此了，虽然一直
告诉自己，今年只是热热身，成败都可以接受，但到真的揭晓的时候，还是很紧张，毕
竟一旦卷入其中就身不由己，何况自己也还是有所付出。到周4等match program的时候
虽然也有点紧张，但程度已经大大减少，1个原因是毕竟match上才是头等大事，去哪里
尚在其次，还有1个原因是心理还是有所准备了，虽然希望留在home school，但直觉告
诉我恐怕是非常困难了，在我rank list上第二位的program应该就是我要去的地方，果
不其然。经过几天的等待，发现果然是要搬家了。
