other back-country skis. including 特勒码. those are all free heels.
Alpine skis are all fixed heels.
basically Alpine = fixed heels (includes downhill, but not Telemark)

大家看看以下数据， Alpine的人单程平均通勤时间是33.7分钟，高于新泽西平均的30
分钟。
其中单程通勤超一小时的大约15%. 这个数字低于那些commute town比如ridgewood什么
的， 但也不低了。

去年，Steve House出了一本讲阿式登山系统训练的书“Training for the New
Alpinism: A Manual for the Climber as Athlete”。
推荐给任何有志于爬山爬long trad routes的同学共同学习。这本书给出了系统训练的
精确配方，照着练3周就马上有成效。有了House的这本新书，请不用看Mark Twight 的
“extreme alpinism" 了。那本老书的知识有些旧，某些有关营养方面的评述甚至有误
导之嫌。 |

个登山训练计划，Alpine Ascent的六个月Denali Training Program

。我几年前专门请了kevin Mahoney教我mixed climbing 和alpine touring。要专攻冰
雪，最靠谱的是去canadian rockies,我当初就是去那里学了四次。现在那里有个台湾
小伙子，叫Larry Shiu, 已经是alpine guide了。爬得不错，人也平和。他可能是第一
个有加拿大向导资格证书的华人。 |

了发现下不来怎么办, 在wilmot问他们的人哪个绿道最简单，说是state line,下面标
的也是easiest, 结果上去之后发现旁边的fanny hill更容易些，滑下来后发现它标的
