背景：agricultural chemistry相关, PhD, 一年postdoc，有30多publications (包括
research papers, reviews and book chapters), 1 个专利，很多awards。
申请及面试经历：
1． 新加坡一高校, AP：video面试后邀请onsite，两天时间，第一天做研究报告，第
二天试教一堂课，其中有跟主要faculty见面，参观系实验室之类的。
感觉：比较bureaucratic， 他们领导不喜欢自信飞扬的，比较喜欢对他们唯唯诺诺多
多奉承那种。喜欢吹捧自己，贬低北美大学。很多形式主义，不管faculty还是学生，
感觉都面有菜色，不开心的样子。跟其中几个教授谈的时候（面试环节之一），他们甚
至建议我不要来，应该去别的地方，他们都好想跳出火坑。
结果：被拒。
经验教训：我觉得是礼仪方面没做好，吹捧他们不够，离开中国太久，对东方文化有点
陌生了。当然也可能是自己经验不够，很多地方表现太嫩，回答问题太直，问什么答什

我拿到设计题，一般是这样切入：谁是用户？设计流量是多少？大致的use case有哪些？

了还没达到SDE2的标准，说我grow的太慢，又说亚麻是很impatient的公司，at some
point, 他们会失去对我的 patience, that could be 7 months, 3 months or 1
month.
然后老板又跟我说，personally,她建议我不要在一棵树上吊死，看看其他更fit我的工
作；同时她会尽全力辅助我达到SDE2（个人认为是冠冕堂皇的p话）。
老板是老美,组里最近有招了两个级别比我高的SDE。我的感觉是上层已经讨论过，
annual review结束就要赶我走，但是他们希望我自己辞职，省的他们麻烦。大家觉得
review下来，老板会直接赶我走，还是逼我签PIP？
顺便说下我的工作情况吧，support做了一年，给我的任务都能按时完成，质量也没问
题，有时需要请教SDE2，但不是没完没了的问的那种。

写数学问题的人当然应该用logically sound的语言,
而不是用ambiguous in logic的语言, 然后跟大家解释
说我这语言是educated speaker都完全理解的.
实际上我认为这道题什么答案对, 根本不需要争. 因为题目本身已经
不具有数学的严谨性了. 这是出题者出题时的问题, 而不是答题者或者

。。自己跟自己自洽，只要自己同意自己解决自然语言的 ambiguity 办法就可以了，
这种 pushy mama faulty memory 加 黄小木鸡汤就可以了。
罗素的 formal logics 的概念，是要在整个马工界内部以一致的解决方案 resolve
ambiguity，这样就需要相同的公理集，比如 C++ 的 BNF 规范。。。两马工 C++ 语法
牛角尖不一致的话，那 C++ standard 里的 BNF 是联邦最高法院判决不是？。。。
：换个角度，我觉得你的表述跟 Snape 最大的差别是，你用的是 natural language，
而 Snape 用的是 formal language (pseudo code + deterministic-abstract-

我就要电话说我的收据一共是15块多，那人说给我查一下，然后给我回信。我仍没提
UPC的事，
我等了好长时间，还没回信，我就又打了个电话。
这人还是说我的钱不够，我就说我收据上分别是多钱，因为我UPC在手里啊，哈哈，这
也是证据。那人一听，马上说，好，那我给你邮支票。
前天查一下状态，原来是DISQUALIFY，现在是QUALIFY。
刚才收到了支票。
不过看这个支票真是可气，就写了个X和 LAST NAME；并且没有APT NUMBER。
虽然这次拿到了支票，但总觉得应该怎么治治他们。

The spillover law should be reversed as previously that is the only thing
can be done for the EB-3 India relief. it is injustice people waiting for
Greencard from 2002 August onwards but people who applied(not all) on year
2007/2008 get Green cards.
