not rich yet)。像医生，公司中高层，包括你我这样的年收入十几二十万的的打工仔
，earned income tax是不低。但那些真正的富人，multimillionaire和billionaire，
他们的财富靠business的captial gain，interest, dividends，这些passive income
而他们的实际税率15%不到。
至于你说的富人占收入税的60%，这算不算太高，不能凭感觉，要看历史记录。明白无
误的记录就是过去30年美国贫富差距越来越大，最富的1%的家庭占用财富从1976年的19
.9%飙升至2007年的34.6%。而底层的50%的家庭占有的财富是全社会财富的1%（没有看
错，百分之一）

我两年前在利兹的同一个实验室做过两个月的访问学生，早就知道英国的习惯是午餐在
办公室里凑合凑合，但第一次见到还是让我虎躯一震：Yasser的午餐是两片干面包加一
