本人毕业于中央工艺美院，具有多年美术教学经验，曾授教于ANDOVER、CHELMSFORD中
文学校。
目前在ANDOVER、CHELMSFORD、LOWELL附近地区招收长、短期学员(10岁以上）。本
辅导班小班授课旨在通过写生学习素描，帮助学生掌握正确的观察方法和造型方法，培
养健康的审美观念及造型观念，在掌握绘画技巧的同时提高艺术修养。
课程包括：
1、入门课程：适合没有绘画基础但是对美术有兴趣的成人及孩子。从学习素描基础开
始，一步步将学生们带入美丽缤纷的美术世界。
2、提高课程：适合具备一定基础的学生。针对每位学生的自身情况制定适合其特点的
学习方案，帮助学生们尽快掌握写生素描的能力。

andover commute downtown 会死人的。堵车得两个小时。我其实就是想justify 一下
reading的学校也不差。我也知道andover的会更好一些。但中和交通考虑，这好一点的
优势可能就不算啥了。没有抬杠的意思。

我一个同事，美国人。老两口都是PhD，按照中国人的说法也算是书香门第了。不过两
人都不是干管理的，所以也不是那种特有钱的家庭。儿子索性对读书没兴趣，高中毕业
去学厨师了。女儿读书不错。老头让她在Andover high上了一年然后去私立了。那天聊
天聊起来，他说私立的话确实整个教学模式比公立还是好很多，哪怕是Andover High这
样不错的公立。 |

Reading too.

发帖数: 71 | 11 上次看到某人(老板已经猜出你是谁了)推荐Medford的一家修车铺.正好我前不久在
Andover换机油时, 被告知brake pad要更换了, 黑心的老板开价将近300刀. 回来网上
查了查,感觉那价格很不靠谱.网上有人说可以自己换, 大概看了看,完全没那个自信自
己弄. 然后就看到有人推荐Medford的这家修车铺.
提前几天打电话过去, 对方很热情,约了今天下午过去先查看一下.今天过去,老板人非
常nice,查了之后说是只要换前面的brake pad,问了价格,还不到Andover那坑爹价格的
一半,并且只需要等半小时.
最后结束时告诉老板俺是看了这里的推荐才去的. 老板很高兴,也猜到是谁帮着推荐的.
我当时和老板提到推荐人时,比较囧地说俺不知道推荐人是谁, 也不知是男是女.
俺下次有需要,还是会去那家修. 这里也广而告之一下,毕竟找家靠谱的修车铺不是那么
容易的.

Dracut 到 Andover, north Andover等北边的town比较近。
地址：35 Robbins Ave, Dracut, MA
概况：townhouse，两层， 外加basement. 2个parking space在房前。
细节：一楼是living room + kichen + restroom. 二楼是2 bedrooms + 1 bathroom.
两个bedrooms是一大一小，我住的是小的。
洗衣机，烘干神马的，在basement。

张king size bed，一个tv stand，一个中等大小的dresser，加上两张桌子和一个crib

，老美都是挤破头要进去的，有难度的。
5万读andover差不多，西边的deerfield两年前就要7万了。
感叹一下，现在国内出来读私校高中的真多. |

Andover 有两所中文学校（步步高和Andover中文学校），一般NH的家庭都去哪一所？
（我也可以在小孩上课期间加入他们的活动。不像Local的，可以回家待一会。）我主
要是想让小孩认一点中文，要求不是太高，写的要求更是不高了。

还有，你这里的私立是指像Andover那种elite的prep school, 实际上次一等的私立也
有不少的，那些学校当然就不是针对high class的了。当然还有教会筹办的接济穷人的
private school.
私立学校有啥秘密你知道的别人不知道的？我老婆有同事就是Andover做过的，有机会
我们是会和她多谈谈的，但也没听她说过什么内部秘密啊。 |

(or 552$ if you got in at 3.29$)
based on AVG 825 gallon usage.

Natick and South Natick... well there is no South Natick, It's at
intersection of Wellesley, Sherbourn and Natick. but is part of Natick, the

都会去考pa试试运气，但是孩子本身是一个因素，学校还要面试家长的，我那个朋友自
己普通公司职员，太太全职太太英文不好，他觉得他们女儿没去成，和父母有一定的关
系。那年受的andover学区来的孩子，他们知道的都是律师医生之类的家庭出来的。所
以不要说大学了，就是高中也是个拼爹的社会。 |

Andover的房价不要炒到天上去了？
现在好的私校也和私立大学一个思路了，就是普世的很。中产阶级真的只能拼孩子的成
绩和特长希望他们能看重（孩子本身的素质）。能拼爹的当然不去说，要不就索性是穷
人家的孩子，成绩可以稍微差点的，进去的可能性也比中产的要高的多。 |

当我们只有老大的时候，我和我老婆也说起过，只要孩子（1）够聪明，（2）性格好,
情商高的话，我们大不了节衣缩食供他去Andover, 这还基于初中读公立的前提（老美
很多，包括upper-middle的阶层，也是高中才送私立的）
这不有老二了，Andover的话题再也没提起过 ... |

发帖数: 2609 | 45 谢谢各位啊，总结了一下，大体俺比较赞同的意见是：
1. 降低房子budget到55w左右，不要死撑，会很累的，给自己留些空间(谁能说一下，
让seller也把房价降一降。。。)
2. 往返一个小时不是问题（啊，我现在只要9分钟到家，还一路没有红绿灯，其他路都
要yield。。。）。
3。4月开始，要有耐心，这个还是可以得，现在lease还有几个月才到期。
依据这个思想，接下来这个周末要有的开喽，下的town都可以考虑：Carlisle, Acton,
westford, boxborough等。好奇咋没人替concord说话呢，是和carlisle算一个了? 另
外，Andover也没人说好话呢？从这个排名看http://www.bostonmagazine.com/boston-best-schools-2013/比bedford还要好啊，离Acton排名也不远，但周围人很多说Action和bedford好话，说Andover的少。
当然，上面几个town可能还是要缩减一下，否则大部分时间都要花在路上了。

发帖数: 2609 | 47 谢谢，那个私校从来就没被我考虑过，我也不指望我家宝宝要去。不过从房源还有价钱
上看我是不会轻易放弃Andover的。
那个房子我们去过，地上不错，但是basement很乱，好像做过in-law的住处，有另一套
厨房，另外，第四个卧室在basement，很差。这也是为啥它一时卖不出去，还降价的缘
故。要说起，它的neighbour 101 cross st我们也去过，那个便宜又实惠，4 bed
colonial才48万吧，但是有些旧，我们就放弃了，有点遗憾。

When we were looking for buying our house in Andover, it took us long time
too. The most important thing is being patient but at the same time, being
prepared.
The housing market here in Andover is still hot so you will need to act very
fast when there is a house in your price range coming out. Usually a good
deal would be gone within days. 400K to 600K is the price range most people
are comfortable with so the competition is high.

这个open house 我去过，相当不decent, 我是捂着鼻子看完的。如果你跟房主有关系
，那原谅我的莽撞。不过里面的气味真应该处理一下。layout 什么的就不说了。若说
Andover完美的房子，应该把提高到900K.
另外，我觉得Andover公立学校的评分还好吧？ 大家看不上的原因是什么呢？高中？我
孩子还小，我确实还不懂。上面那个房子的小学今年已经是10分了，中学也曾是10分，
今年略有下降。 |

I think the school systems in Andover are good enough but we all understand
