Climate Clowns Trapped in Antarctic Ice: ‘Sea ice is disappearing due to

This is too funny for words.
A statement from the Australasian Antarctic Expedition:
We’re stuck in our own experiment. We came to Antarctica to study how
one of the biggest icebergs in the world has altered the system by trapping

Since the 1950s, research stations on the Antarctic Peninsula have recorded
some of the largest increases in near-surface air temperature in the
Southern Hemisphere1. This warming has contributed to the regional retreat
of glaciers2, disintegration of floating ice shelves3 and a ‘greening’
through the expansion in range of various flora4. Several interlinked
processes have been suggested as contributing to the warming, including
stratospheric ozone depletion5, local sea-ice loss6, an increas...

Satoshi
Omura.

One thing that greatly puzzled me when writing 1421 was the
lack of curiosity among many professional historians.
After all, Christopher Columbus supposedly discovered
America in 1492. Yet eighteen years before he set sail, Columbus had a
map of the Americas, which he later acknowledged in his logs. Indeed,
even before his first voyage, Columbus signed a contract with the king
and queen of Spain that appointed him viceroy of the Americas. His
fellow ship’s captain Martín Alons...

Global Warming: Dire Prediction for the Year 3000
Even if humans stop producing excess carbon dioxide in 2100, the lingering
effects of global warming could span the next millennia. The results? By the
year 3000, global warming would be more than a hot topic - the West
Antarctic ice sheet could collapse, and global sea levels would rise by
about 13 feet (4 meters), accor...

China Coal Consumption Linked To Global Cooling
WASHINGTON -- Scientists have come up with a possible explanation for why
the rise in Earth's temperature paused for a bit during the 2000s, one of
the hottest decades on record.
The answer seems counterintuitive. It's all that sulfur pollution in the air
from China's massive coal-burning, according to a new study.
Sulfur particles in the air deflect the sun's rays and can temporarily cool
things down a bit. That can happen even as coal-burning pro...
