安全很重要啊。遂准备查查资料列一下北美常见毒虫，分布特征，防护以及被咬以后的
first aid。时间有限只有慢慢更新了，我查的东西肯定也不全，希望大家一起来盖楼

第一个，当然是咬了砖头同学的火蚂蚁。
火蚂蚁 （fire ants)
长相：见附件
分布：入侵物种，主要分布于美国南部（range from Florida to California），最北
可到 Oklahoma及Virginia。
火蚂蚁是群居昆虫，当你看到附近有火蚂蚁活动时就应该提高警惕了，因为周围可能有
多达500，000只火蚂蚁在看着你。火蚂蚁喜欢在温暖有阳光的地方搭建虫巢。另外它们
的巢穴长得像一个小土堆，直径～61厘米，略高出地面～18厘米。火蚂蚁领地意识很强
，入侵者一律咬住后用尾针往死里钉，属于invaders will be shot, survivors will
be shot again 型，
所以路边的蚁巢千万不要踩，切记切记。

今天游泳的时候忽然想起。周六我们船 walking/judie/ant/ant同学x，差点翻船。
是这样的：walking上了条鱼，请x帮忙在船一侧提鱼篓，此时鱼篓基本都满了，很重，
X基本属于手无缚鸡之力的，提不动。judie就去帮忙，这样walking/judie/x都在船的一
侧。此时船身就往那侧倾斜，此时ant没站稳，滑了一下，自然滑到那一侧，结果船向那
侧猛的倾斜的更厉害了。觉得有20度的样子，幸好大伙手忙脚乱一阵，船又正过来了。
不过还是有点惊险，更惊险的是四人当中有人没穿救生衣（太热脱了）。
经验教训：
1) 捞鱼篓的时候，不能三个人都到船的一侧去。
2) 救生衣随时都得穿着。
3) 尽量能和大部队在一起，当时patrol的船在附近，救我们应该来的级。
特此记录，警示自己。

斯，就必须提到飞机设计领域的先行者和集大成者安德烈·图波列夫。在战争年代，他

去drug store 买一瓶 boric acid (或者是盐) 的 粉,google下配方,主要是加水洄糖,
就成bait了.
放在 ant 出没处,让它们吃,还带回家,下喂小的,上喂queen,过几天死光光.对少数几种
ant不能杀光光.

严不严重。
1. 房子没盖好前，地下室gliding door外面的水泥平台没有灌得很好，下雨的时候雨
水倒灌进来淹了，不过builder后来重新铺过，算是解决了这个问题。
2 . 93年后院有棵树被风吹倒，砸到屋顶和地下室外墙，各砸出个窟窿，都灌进去些雨
水，保险公司出钱修好了。
3. 屋主说房子盖好3年后发现主卧浴室一面墙墙体变软，同时有carpenter ants出没，
拆了发现wet wood, builder把它换成concrete board. 然后十几年间在房子的其它角
落，比如厨房greenhouse window, family room patio door 附近，时而会看见蚂蚁。
他们做过pest control，换了新greenhouse window和一些外墙。据她自己讲carpenter
ants are indicator for wet wood, 治好了反而没法预测家里其它地方有wet wood了。

Just refill with soil and grass that you dig out.
no problem if you connect grass and lawn. you can spray 'ant killer' every
two or three weeks if you find ants there. I didn't because I didn't see
ants there.
还是就是围着地基一圈撒过药的土，土上什么都不放，离开地基
I planted grass on the treated soil. grass can protect foundation from
being too dry. I won't recommend stone or mulch on the treated soil.

google natural ways to kill ants borax...you will find a lot of receipe.
Combine ½ tsp sugar substitute, ½ tsp honey and ½ tsp
borax to make an ant trap.
Put into a glass bottle, and lay the bottle on its side so the ants can
enter...

not so smooth, so the ants can run on it), apply BORRIC ACID which is powder
, and low toxic like HCL and sold in CVS or WALLGREEN or other stores. The
ants will die because they pass through the powder for sweets. The powder is
lethal to ants and other incests including roaches. Place it high and far
enough to be sure your baby can't reach it. Very effective.

子。相当好用，效果相当不错。其他的什么都是浮云。
不过，不推荐terro的那种像胶水滴的那种，过不了多长时间，外表就干了（里面没干
），但是蚂蚁却没有兴趣了。terro那种长方形小盒子的那种液体bait，效果相当好。
不过，terro的这种ant-bait，对carpenet ants没有效果。 |

Tried and true solution :
2 steps :
1st ) Terro Ant Killer II, From Lowe's , bait the ants for about 1 to 2
weeks, bait plenty and bait often. Get the liquid borax solution onto the
ant trails. Lead them to the main baiting station.
2nd) After the colony is eliminated, use <> and spray
all cracks, crevices every 1/2 year to prevent new colonies from coming in.
Get it from Home depot. |
