poor arwen mm. i'd rather cheer over aragon's wedding than mourn over arwen's
death. one can be both 'sad and gay'. there's no question about it.
the writers are like the dwarves who make the mithil armors, or the elves who
make the swords. and then the armors and the swords will be buried
underground, in a goblin infested mine, behind a spell-protected door.

i always avoid angst fics, not that it would depress me but that it has no
effect. some fic is crazy and it's hard to understand why authors like to
torture chars and plots and language so much, in a most unreasonable way.

要说美国的起源，就绕不过“五月花”号（Mayflower）移民船。其实“五月花”是一
艘普通得不能再普通的货船。在没跟北美搭上关系之前，它经常往来于英国和其他欧洲
各国之间，运送货物。1620年9月16日（新历），它载着102名乘客和25到30名船员，离
开英国的普利茅斯港（Plymouth），驶向大西洋彼岸的美洲大陆。“五月花”号孤独地
在海上漂流了66天，终于在11月21日到达北美。船上的乘客们在这片陌生的土地上建立
起一个新的殖民地，把它命名为“普利茅斯”。这就是今天美国马萨诸塞州普利茅斯镇
的所在地。
“五月花”号不是第一艘来到北美的移民船，普利茅斯也不是英国人在北美建立的第
一个殖民地。那么，这艘船为何如此不同凡响呢？这，就要从它的乘客们说起了。
在“五月花”号102名乘客中，大约一半被后人称为“清教徒”（Pilgrims），另一

刚刚上了Aragon，所以我还是报点幻想。听officemate说，连Mills, Burlingame都可
以申请Transfer，但是太远了，对孩子不好吧？也许同班连一个以前的朋友都没有。 |

也是因为他有野心抢回指环复兴人类国家，不过他仅凭本心还不
会残忍到要小儿子去战死，然后回来想也不想就活活烧死他，事
实上他也是Sauron邪恶力量的受害者，因为一直滥用那个黑色的
晶石，（就是Pippin从水里拣出来的那个黑球），自以为可以从
里面预知未来，其实受到邪恶力量的蛊惑，才会看重王位多过人
民安危，他临死前不但以为Faramir有心帮助Aragon领回王位，甚
至开始疑心Gandolf其实是要篡取人类之王的力量，已经彻底不管
Sauron的邪恶企图，完全无可救药了。。。所以有人说Lord of
the Rings隐含的用意是反对独裁，反对为独裁发起的战争，为力
量所迷惑的政治家实在是最危险的。。。 |
