A new allele (version) of ASPM appeared sometime between 14,100 and 500
years ago with a mean estimate of 5,800 years ago. The new allele has a

I guess you were referring to this:
The mean estimated age of the ASPM allele of 5,800 years ago, roughly
correlates with the development of written language, spread of agriculture
and development of cities.

Distilled sentence: The mean estimated age correlates with development of
written language...
It's not saying that the gene itself have anything to do with these events.
It's just that the mutation happened around that time.
That means almost nothing.

至于背后的东西, 是很多的, 还有人从基因角度来说, ASPM gene 是制造闹神经的
蛋白
重要基础,SOD1 gene 是战斗清洁作用的, 这都还是gene表层的, 说到 epigenetics
那又是更多了。
所以, 没人能通读和了解所有这背后的深层次的东西
