发帖数: 11537 | 1 I have been using the 20-year antenna, brought from Radio Shack for $3. You
can buy similar stuff at dollar store. I started using it for HDTV over 4
years ago, and it works perfect.
The special HD attenna does not work for me because of its directional
selectivity. Our TV stations are not located in the same direction, so we
can only get certain channels but not all with the fancy HD attenna.
In most cases, the cheapest attenna works just fine. The best one is outdoor
attenna. |

weekend I just returned, attenna direct, clearstream2. The only channels I
get are 2 local NJ channels, chanel 104 or sth and it was not clear at all.
Is it a problem my apt facing south and signal is coming from northeast
empire state building so even though I position the indoor attenna to that
direction, it doesn't really help? This clearstream2 one is the best indoor

有人说digital IC可以忽略attenna error.
他们说attenna error影响的是yield， 无论analog还是digital. 如果在工艺流程中没
有出问题，attena error不会影响digital IC的性能。
1年前用同样的cell library 做的数字芯片，里面有几千个floating gate error，
工作正常。所以后来没有在cell library 里加tie down.
是这样吗？ |

我找工作的时候，去monster什么的，一水radar engineer,除了四大军工，还有
lincoln lab之流的小军工常年招
radar engineer,还不说那些univerrsity里面的research group
只要有citizenship,搞雷达那真是捧着金饭碗啊
其实这种东西，也是综合实力，一phased array attenna, 100万个ic circuit都不止
，一个前同事在raytheon上班，说
raytheon真是烧钱啊，不过人target也很明确，performance world record
对了，打个岔，前些时候南棒北棒闹起来的时候,据他说raytheon一片欢呼，不知道这
次丝带，是不是也要欢呼... |

appreciate if anyone has any suggestions. we recently moved from queens to
newport, jersey city. Parents got used to the NYC chinese channel, however
tried quite a few different brand of TV attennas from $50 to $100rish, brand
is attennna direct, still can't get too much channels. problem is our unit
is facing south. and 63.4 is transmitted from empire state building.

best ones from best buy, called attenna direct or sth for ? $100, still can'
t get the 63.4. Our apt faces south.
appreciate if anyone has any ideas. we desparately trying to get this
channel for senior people. They are used to it when we were in queens... |

发帖数: 146 | 10 nope, can't get that as well. I called sinovision, they said 63.4 is
transmitted from top of empire state building. For all the attennas I
purchased, can't get them, figured it's not very far across the river.
appreciate any expert ideas...as long as we can get it, cost isn't too much
of a concern...

the table near the window, but position attenna facing northeast, facing
interior of my building. This should be right? |

发帖数: 824 | 12 I'm using mohu too. Picked up all available UHF channels. No compression,
much better than comcast. Only drawback is not getting PBS channels, which
is on VHF, since our house is 14 miles away from the broadcasting station,
in capital hill. Placed order for RCA basic rabbit ear attenna, which should
get VHF channels. |
