要严格，管理要松一些的 - 我说管制严，管理松 - 因为美国不要license, 但是用一
些莫明其妙的限制管制了硬件。

我狮今年的DT招生本来顺风顺水，很早就把大星星MCLEAN搞到手了，而且一直是另一个
大星星WILKINS的FAVORITE或TOP-3。这两个孩子都是四星，WILKINS还是RIVALS前100的
孩子。
但风云突变，MCLEAN因为ACADEMICS的问题DE-COMMIT了。这个消息已经被证实，我狮仍
然很想要他，希望他去PREP SCHOOL，但MCLEAN自己不愿意。据消息称，这孩子最后也
许会去MARSHALL。
当前，我狮在继续猛追WILKINS，这孩子嘴巴非常紧，很少和媒体交流，但据内部消息

NEW ORLEANS城里有名的地方主要有GARDEN DISTRICT，一些CEMETERY，和CHURCH。
如果你读过ANNIE RICE的小说或是看过电影INTERVIEW WITH VAMPIRE，就有点
概念乐。在ANNIE RICE的小说和这部由她的小说改编的电影里都有GARDEN DISTRICT
的影子。所以在一个风和日丽的下午，我们(我，一个AUSTRIAN MM，我们GROUP
的RESEARCH PROFESSOR)就从ST CHARLES AVE坐TROLLEE到了GARDEN DISTRCT。
这里分布着不少百年以上历史的建筑，现在仍然是私人的住宅，房子仍然维护得
很好，连围院子的栅栏甚至都是独到的设计。这一片算是富人的住宅区吧，门口
停的车多是奔驰，奥迪，卡迪拉克之类。由于我们去的时候临近MARDI GRAS，
很多人家门上都挂着PURPLE |

我们GROUP的一个AMERICAN MM和一个AUSTRIAN MM最爱喝酒跳舞，大概算热情奔放
的那种吧，当然CASINO也是不可少。
话说在NEW ORLEANS，这两位每晚必去玩乐到凌晨才回。AMERICAN MM很有喝酒的
经验，每回出门总是揣上$50的CASH，ID，一张CREDIT CARD，然后把HOTEL的地址
写在手腕上，就雄赳赳气昂昂直奔BOURBON STREET而去。$50CASH是当晚预算的
酒钱，CREDIT CARD预防CASH不够，ID是不能少，地址写在手上是喝多了还能回得
来，大多BAR总会为客人叫CAB。这位喝酒是可以不看酒单的，直按次序一杯接一
杯往下喝，碰到不爱喝的就跟别人换。在NEW ORLEANS，点得最多的酒要属HURRICANE，
一种颜色鲜红，口味很甜的COCKTAIL，是用HURRI |

是太少。不过以前到过奥地利竟然没有走到维也纳怎么都有点遗憾，所以还是决定去看
看。
先大大地抱怨Austrian Airline一把。这是俺第一次坐他家的飞机，烂！！！机舱倒是
挺好看，五颜六色，放着Mozart乐曲，可是座位巨小，空乘态度极差，最最生气的竟然
把俺的backpack给弄丢了。俺去问，办公室的人还一副司空见惯的样子说：“握，多半
是delay了，你留个地址，如果能找到就明天给你送过去。”俺说俺出来旅游，什么东
西都在backpack里面，这旅游还没开始呢，俺没的穿，没的用，连洗澡都不行，人翻翻
白眼，不理俺。
带着这种郁闷，俺去hostel check in就直接出去转悠了。维也纳的地铁系统非常方便
，几乎涵盖了所有的旅游经点，而且地铁站干净整洁。

这几天的新闻，奥巴马的明知不可为而为的巴以新政是个在这边广泛关注的话题。其中
提到的67年“六日战争”前的界限，就涉及到这著名的哭墙的归属。只用了6天，以色
列就全面击败了埃及叙利亚和约旦，这个20世纪最出色的闪电战中最重要的指标，就是
以色列从约旦手中夺得了整个耶路撒冷的控制权，老城里经常可以看到那些在哭墙边神
采飞扬的士兵的照片。
