那就是说如果 pay check 上的 last day 是 31号，也就是说 pay roll pay
到 31号(include 31 号)，那么 31号那天 转成 B-2的话 还是 in status的吧？
嗯，那就详细说说
其实对于H1B来说，什么叫in status/out of status？
这个所谓的last day不是个很明确的定义
因为一般公司都不会在你离职当天马上revoke H1B
所以事实上只能根据最后一张paycheck上工资发放到的截止日期来判断
而在实际操作中USCIS对短期的GAP是很人情化地基本上网开一面的
毕竟由于种种原因有个几天GAP也是可以理解的
总而言之
出于保险起见，俺一直推荐最好能够在公司通知的last day
一般也是你在公司payroll上的last day之前提交转身份的申请
否则就各安天命愿赌服输吧。。呵呵 |

都没有。硬件不行，这要是签证官刁难，还真没法子。已经据过一次了，估计以后就难
了。看来只有给二老办绿卡一条路了。 |

另外，还是个人经验，尽量不要延期B签证，回国住几个月再来也没什么大区别吧？让
父母回去享享口福也好。我亲戚曾经于2000年来美探望儿子儿媳，，共延期8个月，也
就是一共住了14个月，回国后先后在北京沈阳上海三地共签证5次，全部杯具：理由就
是“移民倾向”。相反他们的亲家第一次按时回国，第二次来美签证很顺利。当然时代
不同了，情况也可能有很大变化了。 |

快过，就是他们被盘问了很久。
我情况（now opt，马上开始工作），爸妈都是大学在职老师。来两个月参加毕业典礼
。爸妈比较年轻，据他们自己说，里面探亲的家长很多都是白发苍苍的，我老爸还穿个
西服，小帅了一下下，嘿嘿。估计这样才被盘问的...
问了我爸妈职业，详细看了存款证明，妈妈工作证，问了我现在是什么身份。看了我小
时候的照片。我妈妈很仔细的准备了2本200多张照片，头几张是我小时候的黑白照片，
有学走路的之类的，妈妈说他看了很久，一边看一边笑。老妈给我打电话说，还不是我
女儿长得可爱才让我们过的，blush*^_^*。
后来vo问我爸哪个系的，我爸说计算机，于是索要简历，我爸说没带。
vo最后说，你们通过了，但是要补充一点材料，三周后visa寄给你们。老爸以为过了，
出来以后有一个工作人员说这个是被check，于是老爸暴郁闷......
爸爸妈妈都很不容易，大年三十连年夜饭都没吃上在火车上度过的。他们去的时候说，
很多父母就拿着儿女的visa,passport复印件就去了，自己的材料都没怎么带 |

约的12点半，11点半的时候就进去了，等VO们吃完饭陆续出来，开始签。
VO是个美国白人小伙子，看着挺和气。问题包括：
你们是做什么工作的？
能请三个月这么久的假吗？（昨天晚上忽然想到这个问题，临时给老妈打电话嘱咐了半
天，正好用上了，呵呵）
孩子学什么专业，回来过几次
整个过程很短。中间VO看了我的学生证照片，说：“长的像妈妈。” 我妈反应挺快，
接口说：“个高像爸爸。” 逗得我笑了半天，呵呵。
他们说总体上形式挺不错的，另外一个年轻的小女孩VO也挺友好，经常咯咯的笑。
准备的时候在版上看了很多有用的信息，把材料清单贴出来吧：

any consulates. But the shanghai consulate website still has the old info
and don't take applications outside of their district. Anyone has
experiences in this regards?
2. I remember there is a website about the appoitment time availablity. We'd
like to go to Shanghai before the month end. Still possible? anyone knows
that website link?
