parallel to left foot. In such situations you should always slice
instead.
Also, a better way would be recover to middle (facing front) before
hitting the next backhand, as if you don't know the next ball would
be forehand or backhand. Let the ball bounce twice if needed. |

consistantly? Stupid?
It’s not that he want to play that way, it’s because his backhand is
simply not that great. Sometime he even tried to stand toward the left side
of baseline to give more incentive for the opponent to attack his forehand.
True that his back hand stroke can produce highlight shots, but in general
it’s weak and inconsistent. |

more reliable than two years ago. Back then, every time I saw the ball goes

Fed's backhand, I was thinking, here we go the errors. Not sure this is all

比现场慢多了，试问多少人真的能和ken123对抽几下还改变方向穿越网前的人，
多少人一发能发进17 frame, 多少人真的二发能发出他的速度（录像，量量再说）
几周前我问过wellmoon对食神怎么样，所有NJ的同学都说他能赢，他们都见过
两个人打球的，食神自己也觉得wellmoon能赢，这就说明水平了。我虽然respect
kenned, 但kenndy的consistency比wellmoon差多了，forehand power level
相当，backhand wellmoon明显好，两个人都不是网前选手，
所以应该赢的很轻松啊，就backhand moon球一直打kenndy就受不了吧。
再说了，biok还有信心和老肯打，wellmoon打不过CC,但真的对biok, 那还是轻松
吧，

球友一发二发都很好，所以我经常回浅然后被虐。而我的发球又很烂，
被attack的很凶，综上所述，很难break球友，自己保发率也就50%
左右，所以基本每局只能拿到2，3分的样子。最近打过5局，好像只
break过他两次。其中一局发球状态保持不错，正好又break他一次，

球友是东方式传统正手，击球很平，球速较快。球友正手approach
shot大量采用open stance，感觉他的击球隐蔽性很好，不容易
预判方向。等看清楚方向时已经多半来不及到位了。感觉对付他
必须打深并压反手，或者抢先强行攻击，可惜很难保证成功率。

Dehen is so thoughtful. But No need. Analyzing my
opponent is not really something I really like
to do, that does not help me in the long run at all.
I play everyone the same way, just play
my tennis, do all the things I told myself to do.
I do not even choose to place the ball to backhand
side, just to the open space.
The only disadvantage I have is that I changed
quite a few things in serve/forehand/backhand
recently, so I hope I will not be too nervous to
forget how to play :) |

comes.
E.g., if the ball comes from deuce court and I am at deuce court,
and I am right-handed, backhand volley;
if the ball comes from ad court and I am at ad court,
forehand volley -- this requires me to move to the left by 1 step.
Similarly:
If the ball comes from ad court and I am at deuce court, forehand;
If the ball comes from deuce court and I am at ad court, backhand. |

into Prestige (333 grams with 6.5HL). Feel pretty good. Especially like
the low stiffness. They are powerful, but not good for my on hand backhand.
Since I can no longer to buy them any more, I switched to IG Pro. Took me
a couple of month to get used to it cause I have to change my strike style.
Now I like my IG Pro a lot. Good improvement for my backhand. |

发帖数: 4816 | 15 近两个月以来，除了参加USTA/HTA的比赛，我们USTA4.0 Team内部也是在一直进行着以
比赛代practice的循环赛。这个周末，昨天，同我们Team里的第一高手比赛了。在同高
手比赛中，发现自己的短板太明显了。
在同average 4.0的对手比赛中，自己的backhand虽说的弱项，但一般还能handle，所
以同其他的teammates的单打比赛，我也都赢了，开始是5战5胜，但在同4.5的对手的比
赛中，自己的backhand打的是太不尽我意，其它的技术水平发挥也是一般般。总之，被
打的只有招架之功，毫无反手之力。对我的打击不小。看来，我要到4.5的水平，可能
只是dream了。同这个4.5的高手打，要比我同MP打更困难。
First Set，稀里哗啦，没能反过神来，就1：6完了。Second Set，对手太藐视俺了，
他也还是出现了一些失误，但我还是4：6输掉了。在2nd set 2：2之后，我发球的那个
game中，反反复复地拉锯，打了能有平常3个games那么多，最后还是没能拿下，但自己
的体力却消耗非常大。

protective on their backhand, and are very good are inside out or inside in,
thus it's hard to get to their backhand.
I find it's actually easier if you can hit cross angle to their forehand to
start off the point. Problem is if your cross court lands in the middle you
are dead meat too. :) In your case, being a lefty... I'm not sure how that
would work...

is a backhand side overhead though.

参加了比赛，也又一次锻炼了我的小心脏，还让我的小心脏越来越强大了。
昨晚的比赛，因为我们队的绝对高手鲑鱼同学被DQ了，我被迫披挂上阵去打No.1
Single。赛前，鲑鱼同学就提醒我，对手的No.1 Single player是很强的。去年他的
team都打进National了，他本人也刚刚赢了上一场的No.1 Singles match，今年1-3月
份，他还参加了6场4.5level的Spring Singles League matches，两次出阵No.1
player，3次出阵No.2 player，3赢3输。应该是绝对的top4.0或非常接近4.5了。
比赛开始，1st set我打的太烂了。对手的主要weapons就是backhand slice和forehand
super high Topspin。他的backhand很flat，low，fast，and deep。Forehand

没有稍稍好一点的发球，backhand也不是太好，backhand slice还不行，就不能成为4.

you'll be near the baseline. Step in, cut the angle off, bend low, compact
prep, and just flick the wrist, used opponents power to redirect ball. Right?
That should work, and should be a good fit for your game style. Timing is
not easy though, but with 2HBH, you can always muscle the ball. Issue is if
you don't redirect well, you'll be in trouble in the next shot then again it
's the same for any type of stroke. =)

昨天下午在Houston以球会友，如期迎接了来访的Shen老师。
昨天的Houston，有最理想的打网球的天气，high temp 67，wind 2 mph。约好2:00在
Auth为我们定的West Side Tennis Club，我和venus以及我另一个球友，1:30就到了，
开始warm up，之后轮流打tiebreak。长话短说，算上Shen老师，我们一个来了7个人。
开始是黑导 vs Shen单搞，我们在另外一个场地玩casual doubles，结果黑导2：0赢了
，64；62。
之后我从doubles match那里出来，去和Shen老师单打。我最近深受Tennis Elbow之困
扰，只能尽量减少打网球的次数。每次打球的状态也不稳定，所以我自己都难说我哪天
能打的在状态。昨天我的状态还不错。可能是Shen老师对我这种邪派野球没有pace的打
法不太适应，我对Shen老师的打法，倒是很适应，我5:1领先之后，我发球。我心里就

going on right now. The change more than likely will effect in certain level
. I don't know, if he can rotate his grip appropriately before every
backhand shot, maybe good for his backhand? The boss said that it should be
45 degree between eastern and western, and his coach makes it 60 degree
towards western. I probably will accept 60 degree.

real games, my forehand is more consistent and can put the balls more
accurately with plenty of spins. What am working on for forehand is to loose
the grip and let the racket go with the swing. This gives me more power.

Particularly the backhand slice. You were late and didn't look and paid the
price.
Slow down on the forehand side. You have more time than you think.

过我已经用了10年的拍苍蝇式发球了。我要彻底改变我发球的决心很大。现在也自己制
定了提高发球的4个阶段目标。
1. 注重纠正错误，注重发球姿势，和发球时身体的协调性和各个细微动作的连贯性。
这期间重点在于找到发球时自己的感觉，而不是在意球是否发在发球区内而让这个来影
响了这个初级阶段的重点。及时请教会发球的球友给予技术指导和错误纠正。用两个月
来完成这个初级阶段。
2. 尽量把球发在发球区内。同时继续培养正确的发球过程的muscle memory。调整自己
发球成功率和发球力度的平衡，注重提高发球成功率。虽然这时候还无法控制发球的落
点，但能发进发球区，自己就满意。同时也继续培养自己的发球姿势，不断的去纠正不
对的地方。在同球友打causal match时，也要注重培养自己对手接发球回球后我的第一
拍子的回球，来培养自己在对垒中首先控制rally，占据主动。再用两个月来完成这个
阶段。
3. 在发球成功率达到可以接受时，再去观察对手的接发球的特点和弱点，来追求发球

be any difficult to beat your opponent.(In my standard, your opponent is not
a mid 4.0 yet considering his backhand is so weak and his footwork is
terrible).
Just give you one quick example of transition game:
1:20: with such a good DTL backhand shot, you see opponent on the run, you
should come in (or you can call it sneak in) right away, an easy put-away
volley for you. |
