发帖数: 2672 | 3 Even though Lulu and I attempted summit Ross Mountain, we didn't. We were 0.8 mile, 500 ft away from summit. Total is about 13 miles, close to 5,000 ft elevation gain.
The three peaks are Throop Peak, Mt. Burnham, Baden-Powell, three peaks in a day is not too bad. The three peaks up to Baden-Powell was only 11.5 miles, 2,850 ft elevation gain. I guess that was easy part!

1. 早上7点在 210/2 公路旁碰面一起卡普到Vincent Gap Trailhead
2. 8点从Vincent Gap TR 出发, 4 mi， 爬升 2800 ft.
3. 4 小时上山, 争取中午12点登顶，2.5 小时下山. 加上中间休息大概需要一共8
小时.
注意事项
A. 周六会下雨, 山上会下雪, 很大机会有storm, 请参加同学做好充分的装备及心理
的准备.
B. 装备: 1 liter water + 1 liter energy drink, lunch, energy bars, water

when I did the Triplet Rocks last week (which was in Bighorn area), I
intentionally travel in both ways on the highway to make sure the highway is
accessible. Very nice drive, btw.
On my hikes, I always prefer people stick in a group or at least have a
partner. Do you have anybody that go with you if you are only doing Baden-
Powell?
If it is just Baden-Powell, it is very esay hike, I'm sure someone else on

Mt Islip , Middle Hawkins (B), Mt Hawkins (C), Throop Peak (D), Mt Burnham (
E), Baden-Powell and Ross Mtn. 其中Ross 是最難的， 但是也是最值得去的. 去
Baden-Powell不去Ross就等於去Grand Canyon不爬R2R一樣.

1. 明天上午 9:15 在集合点carpool，9:30 从集合点出发。
2. 在 2 号公路上开车要小心，如果觉得有点疲劳就停下来休息一下看看风景（2号公
路沿线有不少 turnout）。不必急着赶路，11:00 前到达 trailhead 即可。
3. 司机开车前最好问问各位乘客有没有会晕车的，要尽量把车开得平稳。如果开得比
较慢，可能需要用 turnout 让过后面的车。
预祝大家明天开车、爬山都能安安全全、开开心心。

2号公路的北段在5月底重新开放，让我们能径直穿越Angeles Forest。Mt Baden
Powell（海拔9400ft）是 Mt Baldy 北面的最高峰（比 Mt Baldy 低 600ft），在 2号
公路以北约 50mi 处。2号公路号称南加的 most scenic driveway，这次可以顺便开开
看看（觉得不好看的话不要怪我呵呵）。这周多数是多云天气，很可能有机会再看到上
周末那样的云海（老天爷不帮忙的话也别怪我。。。）。

飞行服，气流强烈冲击着他使他很快昏迷。幸运的是这是一架双座攻击机，
除了他之外旁边还有一位他的同伴驾驶员Mark Baden，Baden机智勇敢经过
一番努力在方向舵被降落伞缠住的情况下飞回林肯号航母进行紧急迫降，

发帖数: 1395 | 45 Neuschwanstein不用提前订，它网站上建议订，但是到时候去排队就可以了。我看
大多数人都没有提前订。guided tour是强制的，你买票的时候上面有时间和一个号
码，时间就是guided tour的集合时间，号码指定了你排在哪个队列里。自己开车去
只要有GPS就很容易。
推荐路线我不在行，不过我可以说一些我去过的城堡。
Hohenzollern很不错，但是我去的时候英语国家的游客太少，只有德语的。离它一
个多小时的有Lichtenstein，这个城堡比较小，但是感觉很好。
注意现在从Hohenzollern到Lichtenstein之间在修路，所以要重新设定GPS想办
法绕过去。德国的detour标志是黄底黑字"Umleitung"，念出来象中国人的名字。
Baden-baden的城堡Hohenbaden是废墟，风景不错，但是里面没有家具和装饰。
Heidelberg的城堡也是废墟，可以看前面的sticky post。里面有个小舞台，可能会
有演出。
Frankfurt往西一个小时左右有Burg Eltz。这个城堡不大，三家分，其中的一家的后
人还住在那里，只是不常住，偶尔 |

美国密苏里州弗格森镇白人警员威尔逊杀黑人少年案，陪审团当地时间周一决定不起诉杀人警员后，引发骚乱。当天晚上，此案的宣判受到全美各界的关注。美国媒体纷纷在头条位置报道宣布结果、直击现场等稿件，事发地点密苏里州弗格森镇也有大批民众聚集。
据报道，目前有警车的窗户被砸坏，警方已向人群投掷催泪弹。
这一决议不仅引起了弗格森本地民众的抗议，同时抗议活动还扩散到芝加哥、洛杉矶、纽约多地。
纽约的抗议者已占领了三座桥梁，数千人来到时代广场，高喊“举起手，别开枪”。
根据彭博资讯消息，抗议活动几乎波及到美国34个州的90座城市，同时还包括加拿大的几个居民点。
总统奥巴马当晚就此事发表讲话，呼吁民众在结果宣判后保持冷静。
奥巴马表示，大陪审团的宣判势必会引来一些消极的反应，尽管有愤怒以及对判决的不满，但他呼吁弗格森的民众们，平静接受陪审团的决定，并保持克制和冷静。
