航行于西非沿岸，靠近几内亚湾。在HMS Surprise的Grand Cabin里面，Aubrey船长和Maturin大夫正在共进早餐。谈到了最近收到的海军情报部发来的密码信函，已及给塞拉利昂的总督夫人的书信。谈笑间大夫和船长有趣的俏皮话夹杂在友善的Bantering之中，很英国式地charming。突然，一只黑手伸进我的视野，迅速把我从十九世纪的大西洋一下子抓回到二零壹零年的纽约，七月里的一个星期五。我和我的Kindle之间的那只黑手让我意识到我正在地铁上被抢劫。
经过一段时间的使用，我对Kindle 3越来越熟悉，也越来越依赖了。每天早上，坐上地铁的时候，都要把Kindle拿出来，接着读前一天晚上不得不放下的故事，顺手记下只言片语的感想心得，留给以后慢慢回味。下班的时候也是如此。这样，每天上下班的两三个小时，我都在读书，感觉非常有效率，一本小说一两个星期内就结束。就这样，几个月下来，也看了不少书。忙碌的日子里，每天我总有几个小时飘荡在现实的时空以外，或是航行于十九世纪的大洋，或是飞行于超空间，或者去迎击海盗，或者去执行秘密使命。这样快乐而满足的读书时间逐... 阅读全帖 |
