主题＊
库切几乎所有的小说都可以归到同一个主题上：awakening。此处的觉醒不是某贵族公
子突然察觉到人民疾苦而决定参加革命与本阶级一刀两断的觉醒。这种以阶级或者种族
的二分法来形容库切是很武断的。他选择的主人公几乎全是知识分子，是在某种程度上
具有某种优越感的，是典型意义上的"文明人"，但同时自我又受着体制与意识形态的侵
犯压迫。在通过一系列事件之后，主人公们对"野蛮人们" － "Age of Iron" 里的黑人
孩子和流浪者，"Disgrace"里的强奸犯，还有"waiting for the barbarians"里从未出
现的野蛮人－ 产生极为复杂的认知与反思。这个认知又不是仅仅建立在谁对谁错，谁
代表公正谁不代表上的，或者简单的怜悯与同情。

我有一个同学正在看Lili Marlene的电影，这个片子原来中央6也播过无数次了，非常喜
欢这部篇子. 虽然, 当时的电影制作技术太落后了，对于电影情节的表现是显得很不足够
，可能是看好莱坞的特技惯的。形式是要为内容服务的，内容的充实与深刻可以使得一些
形式的缺陷都微不足道。我真喜欢这部片子呀！
电影当然是以那首举世著名的Lili Marlen为线索和灵魂的，这首歌的歌词是在一首德国
诗歌的基础上改编的，尤其经过德籍女明星Marlene Dietrich演唱之后，传唱于德军和美
军中间。她是一个著名的反纳粹人士，战后还受到美国法国和以色列政府的嘉奖。
