我分析了下她的publication的作者情况，按照她实验室网站上列的current and past
post-doc，发现她的post-doc一般要做5年以上，而且完了以后，很多还是去了别的学校继续
post-doc，甚至有一个干了一年就跑路了。那些后来做了faculty的，在她实验室都干了好多年。
按说，以她的实力和势力，不应该这样的吧？会不会是她要求很严，不是很supportive？
请知情人说道一下吧～ |

有人总结，四种PI不能碰，AP(assistant professor),F(female),C/T(Chinese/
Taiwanese), Unmarried.
当然这些都是一家之言，个人对这些说法持保留态度，细节需要继续探究。有一个标准
可以用于大家加入某lab之前的预先判断，就是PI的变态程度和lab里中国大陆人加上印
度人占总人数的比例成正比，因为大陆人和印度人都是典型的吃苦耐劳又老实（聪明与
否另说），所以要不是对这方面有特殊需求的PI，是不会故意招很多中国人和印度人的
，具体来说，这个比例在三分之一以内的，正常；三分之一到三分之二的，仍属正常，

入门书籍：
1.Futures, Options and other derivatives--by John Hull.（买）
聪聪推荐：这本书不用多说了，买就是了。不管是找工作还是senior quant都会用
到。
John Hull 也是非常厉害的，各个方面都有开创性的成果。现在Toronto Uni.
本人看法：经典中的经典，涉猎还算广泛，不过不够数学----人称华尔街的圣经，
自然不算很难。
2.Arbitrage theory in continuous time--by Tomas Bjork.（借）
聪聪推荐：这本书非常适合数学/物理背景的人读，注重数学理论的培养。本来我觉
得也没什么，但是被公司老板大加赞扬后就改变看法了。。。Bjork现在瑞典SSE。
本人看法：没看过。-.-b 已在国大图书馆搜到，准备借阅。
3.Financial Calculus--Martin Baxter& Rennie（借）
聪聪推荐：非常薄但是elegant的一本书，1996年，算是比较早了，但是和Hull的那
本书齐名。也是聪聪的first book。作者1现在野村证券 |

下个月15号，财政部要公布currency report。在这个报告中，财政部要决定是否把中
国列为汇率操纵国。根据目前情形，财政部很可能要这么做。如果中国真被列为汇率操
纵国，美国贸易保护主义者就可以名正言顺地对中国进行制裁了。汇率操纵的定义在美
国的货币报告中是，通过控制汇率来“阻碍贸易平衡的有效调整，或者在国际贸易中取
得不公正的竞争优势(for the purposes of preventing effective balance of
payments adjustments or gaining unfair competitive advantage in
international trade).“
这个汇率操纵本身的定义就很有问题。首先，它假定了浮动利率能达到自动调整贸易平
衡的功能。在60年代的宏观经济模型中，当一个国家出现贸易顺差时，它的货币会自动

就是他们当年1952搞的一个小小的统计物理中的一个定理， 李-杨圆周定理， 后来居
然变成了一
个数学领域。 直到今天， 还有人搞。
举例来说， 下面这个老印搞这个， 去年从伯克利毕业， 现在在caltech 做博后， 做
的就是
Lee-Yang theorem。

situations like that, you can certainly try help out with RA works. You have
to start somewhere. Not sure about the native and foreigner arguments. I
have dealt with many RA people from small start up to big ones as Sanofi,
CSLB, Baxter and so on. I find in big firms,there are many foreigners doing
RA. There are also Chinese with so so English as director in RA in
multinational big pharma.

contaminant is a chemically altered from chondroitin that can mimic heparin

Sanofi-Aventis is having a good deal by degrading China heparin to Lovenox
and making over 1b each year. They are well aware of taking advantage of
China heparin. However, when medical issues emerge like this one, to avoid
tedious law process, such as Vioxx with Merck, they have to find someone to

Jimbo是日本人 不是俄国人 （你连鬼子和毛子都分不清楚？）
他用classical量子群explicit构造出了Yang-Baxter方程的解
而Drinfeld给出了用一般的半单李代数的量子群构造YBE解的方法
其次
Yangian是Drinfeld定义的 跟Jimbo无关
第三
Drinfeld在研究量子群之前
早就已经靠定义Shtuka和Drinfeld模
证明了函数域上GL（2）的Langlands猜想拿了fields奖
不需要靠巴结杨振宁为生
Drinfeld本人都说给他定义的东西起名叫Yangian是出于对杨的尊敬
而不是像你说的那样反过来

？說統計和數學方面，老楊也算是慧眼獨具了。除了yang-mills,都跟統計直接有關，
還有易興模型。yangmills+quantum group這兩門，養活全蘇聯的數學家。
李老估計跟韓國的Ben Lee平手就不錯了。不過這又是關公戰秦瓊。 |

大約在三年前，我與台政大幾位研究心理學的正妹籌組了一個親密關係研究團隊，第一
個實驗就是調查遠距離戀愛的情侶。或許你會想問，為什麼會對這樣的議題有興趣呢？
答案是：當時我們有一半的成員都處於遠距戀愛中，他們的伴侶都在地球另一端。所以
我們想知道，究竟是什麼能讓遠距離戀愛中止或延續。
可惜的是，後來這個計畫演變成兩個悲劇。第一個悲劇是，有部分成員甚至等不到最後
的結果出爐，自己的戀情就中止了。雖然這跟「距離」本身沒有很大關係，我們甚至可
以將它視為一種自然的消逝(decay)－－畢竟平均來說，情人在六個月內分手的機率是
42%，過去研究也無法提供「穩定的」證據說明遠距離戀愛比較容易分手(Stafford &
