East Bay Bike Path 是迄今为止骑过的风景最好的自行车道。前些天贴过一个cape
cod的shining sea bikeway。SSB的亮点是沿途有海滩，终点是著名的woods hole，而
且可以坐ferry去marth's vineyard，此外有一些side trips。相比之下，EBBP沿路的
风景极为多样化，有城市，有池塘，有lighthouse，有海景，有湿地，有小海港，有很
多漂亮的房子和自行车道融为一体。点睛之处是接近南终点的地方是非常漂亮的Colt
State Park。两条车道各有千秋，但我们更喜欢EBBP（而且离家近）。
去年骑过，这是第二次去，非常enjoy，以后有机会还会再去。这条车道离波士顿大约1
小时车程，全长约14miles，如果你想骑完全程，准备至少半天去enjoy，路 |

发帖数: 134 | 32 刚刚从纽约搬到bay area. 还在适应当中。对san Francisco 了解还不多，心里还在
debate自己是不是作了一个对的选择，想听听大家的看法
搬离纽约的一个主要原因是觉得居住空间受限，觉得纽约周边的single family houses
都太旧了，1920 年左右建的房子一大把，要是能找到一个1975年建的就要烧高香了。
关键是老房子的格局我不喜欢，洗手间和卧室都不大。看着各个屋子和厅的位置朝向，
总是觉得不够满意。而且commute到纽约的费用也蛮高的，相同的距离比在bay area坐
caltrain到san Francisco + light rail (muni)的monthly pass要贵至少$100。纽约
的地铁unlimited 30 days要$104呢。
另一个离开纽约的原因是觉得在纽约因为大家都忙于事业，人情上难免有点疏远，再加
上经常碰到陌生人比较mean，就是整座城市给人的感觉是人和人之间没有太多care.所
以relationship in new york is very difficult, too. 男生比较不定性，因为玩的

SF city vs. Manhattan: 我可能会比较喜欢Manhattan, 因为subway in M&#
8203;anhattan很方便. SF city的交通比较不便. 是有muni/bus, 可是会有traffic.
比如说从SoMA to Richmand (4.3 miles), 自己开车, 如果不塞, it might take 35
mins because of all the traffic lights. 如果塞, it might take 1+ hrs. 坐公车
is going to be worse.
South/East Bay vs NYC: South/East Bay比较适恰有family的and are nice for
retirees, people here are laid back. 这边相对NYC来说会比较难meet new people,
so the drawback is当朋友一个一个结婚后, 会很少朋友hang out.

101 is bad in traffic for sure, especially during evening rush hours.
237 is horrible in traffic, especially at the intersection with 880.
85 is bad in traffic too, especially in the intersection with 280.
280 is bad in traffic, at the intersection of page mill and 85.
It seems Central express way is the only good major road from South bay to
Peninsula, with less traffics? Anyone disagree? |

稀记得当时出发前看half moon bay的天气，当天最高温度是72度，而且风很小。
去过好多次了，还是近两次好，告诉大家一声，适合带小孩的家庭：
1。 海水很冷，孩子没法玩，但是河水很热，所以挑带小河的海滩。一般小河入海的地
方经常会形成一个小湖，水清且浅，很好玩。half moon bay下边的san gregorio
state beach, pomponio state beach, pescadero state beach 还有pigeon point
light house下边一点的那个beach都是这样的。很多小孩子玩，特别是在小河入海的那
一段，在里面跑的好开心。河里还有很多大浮木，可以让小孩做上面推着玩，带绳子了
扎个筏子也可以。
基本上顺着1号开，看着哪里有小河就可以停下来玩了。 pomponio state beach 停下
以后顺着beach 往南走风景很好,悬崖高下面还有洞。我后来还往南开了5分钟的样子，
发现海边有一片平的礁石，人迹罕至，海带很多 ：）

BAY POINT, Calif (KTVU & BCN) - A driver who reportedly died in a crash on
state Highway 4 in Pittsburg this afternoon was shot before he crashed into
a center divider, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
