- Slow down
- Follow the traffic, keep enough space
BTW, I use rain-X treatment on windshields and other windows. It really
helped in rain, especially in storm as it rained so hard that you cannot see
through windshield even with wiper set to high if rain-X was not applied.
With rain-X treatment, I did't need to use wiper at speed above ~50 mph. The
rain would bead up and flow away.

溶于水的重金属把。
离子交换树脂可以将水变软，但那些是bead形状的不是黑渣渣。变软的方法最好是加热
了，方便省钱。在空气中加热，二氧化碳溶于水就成碳酸了，和镁钙发生反应就沉淀下
来了，所以很硬的自来水一定要在空气中烧开一会儿，过滤了才能够喝。所以我总觉得
烧开以后还应该再用什么东西把沉下来的盐过滤掉，可能咖啡滤纸比较好吧。我们这边
的水很恐怖，烧干了以后锅里有白印子，可是烧开的时候什么也沉淀不出来。奇怪。

跟的老板是搞理论的，所以主要工作就是推公式（这个主要是老板在做，我负责一些简
单的部分），然后数值解之。简化后的系统也不复杂，所以matlab足够。
博士期间发了6篇paper，3篇一作。没有过业界intern的经历。
掌握的skills呢，看来就是简化、求解偏微分方程，然后matlab编程。
但我想找industry的工作，看起来没有什么合适的岗位——本专业，ME流体方向，感觉
没有什么有竞争力的经历可以写到简历上。
基于这样的认知和定位，我毕业时的找工可耻的失败了。
电面都没有，只收到过几封询问的email，就没有下文了。
当然这可能与我投的简历太少有关，大概就50份左右吧。（实在不知道哪些可以投）
很对不住一直支持，鼓励我的老婆。
还好老板认的得一个教授正好有funding招博士后，也就去了。
现在得工作也是数值模拟，主要是用fortran——看上去也不容易在industry用上的
skill，

没有nail gun的话,最好predrill，用clamp夹住，再上钉子。不然stud很容易移位。
另外measure twice，再上锯。
你这么点墙，上drywall也不用买drywall hoist了，找个人搭把手就行了。
然后上corner bead.接着上drywall type,mud,补钉眼，找平。这个比较脏，因为要打
磨，经常满屋子的灰。上三遍mud,打磨两遍。
剩下就是刷墙了。 |

underneath the old caulking no longer has a smooth surface --- do I need to
remove or redo the grout as well? Or maybe just adding some new grout to
smooth the surface before applying the new caulking? Or do nothing at all?
2. Do you use a caulking gun to do the caulking? If you just hand squeeze it
, how do you smooth out the caulking beads?

我们本来想买costco的memory foam床垫，不贵，king size也就才799。后来买床的时
候碰到大优惠，买了个很好的。
枕头买了两套，一套是memory foam，一套是foam polystyrene beads的。
前者比较软，后者枕的感觉稍硬。
这个床垫和枕头就是要试，别人推荐恐怕不可靠，软硬程度要自己睡的舒服才行。 |

首先防止长霉,要用Milddew and Mold Blocker.喷的那种.大概两个月左右喷一次,让其
自然风干就可以了.很管用.
如果已经霉了.先用刀片window scraper把原来的密封硅胶刮掉.然后买一管silicone
sealant (caulk),一个dispensor(gun)重新上胶就可以了.Lowes有卖一种最后用来摸平
(smooth)silicone beads的小工具,你可以去问一下.你也可以就用你的手指头来摸平.
