I really need your help on my lease and rent.
I renewed my lease on March 14th, 2009, the lease term is from May 1st, 2009
to April 30th, 2010. The rent is $965/month, for 1 year contract.
On April 5th, the Apt (landlord) drops the price to $795/month. I know it
today, April 17th.
My lease says that "Executed on March 14th", and "Effective from May 1st".
I wonder,
1) May I cancel the lease without paying the early termination fee of $1930
before the effective date of May 1st? |

写了心态要好的帖子之后本来不想写这篇的，可今天看到碰到相似情况的人还不只我一
个，所以就写写吧。
首先，请碰到此类事件的同志不要慌张。十大优秀版主（男人中的男人？）说的很对，
公司及时revoke h1和通知学校reinstate f1要同时进行。本人今年夏天不得已的花了
两个月坐了趟过山车，f1到h1到现在回到可爱的f1，还是可以站出来comfort有相同遭
遇的同志。不过鉴于现在已经是八月底，时间紧迫，该要做的还是要快点做。
先说一下自己的情况，有点罗嗦有点长，时间紧的同学可以略过,后者直接跳到五月底
。还有如果你坚持要看请不要回帖说我罗嗦，只是想把每个细节就写下来。
这篇文章将包括：
1。停止phd用master办opt
2。加急opt，收到opt RFE，在opt申请期间改地址
3。在h1生效前取消h1换回学生身份

My employer submitted petition for H-1B (worker visa) on my behalf at the
beginning of this month. I already receive a receipt number from USCIS, but
it still takes a few weeks to approve the application (possibly in June) I
think. Once it's granted, the H1-B status will not be effective until Oct
1st.
