on gay marriage. Even if I do draw a conclusion from biblical
inspiration, I cannot be sure if that is the right one. I am sympathetic
to gay marriage, and I am confident that I can find sympathetic
view from the bible on this issue. If I were against gay marriage,
I could do the same.
As you said, there are contradictory teachings throughout the

我预感到加尔文其实是“对”的。对圣徒的拣选，这个应该是“正确”的，版上几个非

俺想补充一点，就是在华人的圈子里，加尔文主义算不上主流
和加尔文主义相对的另一个大宗派，是路德宗（也叫信义宗，福音派，德国的马丁路德
开创的），这
是新教的两位始祖，Arminianism的华人好像不多
像belief和trust的很多基，都是福音派，主要强调的是圣经无误。
另外呢，大部分的原教旨主义（基要派）也称自己是福音派的，其实是差不多的，
个人感觉“原教旨主义”本身很像个贬义词，所以一般不太爱往自己身上说。
但福音派和加尔文主义的区别还是比较明显的。
比如：福音派是因信称义；
加尔文派也说因信称义，但实际是因上帝的选择成义。
