If we argue technicalities there's actually not much to talk about.
Whether marriage is a form of basic human rights or a form of contracts,
there was no exclusion of gays/lesbians before some bigots brought up
prop 8 or DOMA. I'm sure most people agree that despite our sexual
orientation, we are intellectually and mentally capable of making a
commitment, entering into an agreement and honoring a contract.
Now what's really complicating here is the emotional side of the issue.
