个人意见），有的方向也许不是纯忽悠（比如microdroplet/IVC）。 |

发帖数: 9499 | 7 还有一个问题：yeast 是单细胞生物啊。cell line 里面受 microenvironments 影响的
东西太多，一方面加大了 variation，另一方面，in vitro 和 in vivo 的差异太大。
谁能开发个 high-throughput in vivo screening 的技术就好了。或者起码在 micro-
organ 这个级别的 bioMEMS 也好啊 -- 我知道 Bhatia 组在做这个来筛药，不知道现在
做得咋样了。

一个是university of missouri-columbia 的，方向是Digital Design and Analog
Integrated Circuit Design，老师是assistant prof.给的是免学费，每个月再给一点
小钱的小奖。
另一个是 university of cincinnati, 方向是 BioMEMS，做些流体啊，lab on chip什
么的。导师是associate prof。给的是免学费，每个月再给1400的奖。
学校都不算出色，大家莫笑话俺；好一些的学校，不给俺钱，俺念不起。我希望毕业之
后能在这里工作几年再回国，如果中途有机会能转成master，那就更好了，不知道
master读出来好找工作吗？
大家能不能帮忙分析一下，从研究水平，专业方向，学生就业情况看，哪个学校更好些

一位朋友刚进一牛校做老板。
考虑未来研究前景，想选方向。

大家伙说说哪个更有钱途。
好玩的是几大协会现在也在想这个问题，都在想怎么圈地圈人
以便１０年后在江湖还能有个位置，
所以考虑一哈还是很有意思的。

find new funding after some publications.
Then he can try BioMEMS.
It is important for a new faculty to use his start-up wisely.
Anyway, since he is a chinese (?), don't worry about the publication. Almost
every chinese faculty can pulish so many articles that shame my current
american boss. |
