girl. Groomed runs are boring to her, she like trees, moguls and powders, I
am OK in the trees, but moguls and powders are big problems for me when the
slopes are steep...

发帖数: 3311 | 5 Exactly! I could not handle moguls like the pros so it worked for me. It
forced me to turn decisively, lean forward, and ski in the bottom. I'm
176cm high but use 41"(110cm) poles - quite short for my height.
WO12354 (WO) is right. If you are young and talented, go for it. Glad you
had the chance to learn from the best.

To me, there are ways of skiing the moguls and "running" the moguls. The
new style or the pros are "running" the moguls particularly in competitions.
But we all have to master the skiing moguls first then we can start "
running" them.

板子都有，人家John和R.J.用的是powder的宽板子，这就说明功夫到了，就不在乎
用啥兵器了。

发帖数: 44466 | 11 同意，看电视里面的mogul选手都是窄板子，网上也说窄的软的合适。
不过那个渡边一树在录像里面就用一副小回转板子滑了几乎所有雪道，不管是mogul还
是powder。他也确实是牛人，看NHK纪录片里面一个去年世界排名第五的日本ski cross
选手还找他来分析错误动作。 |

anything though?
It comes back down to technique and practice again.
I tried my new fat skis on moguls and they worked alright. But if the
moguls are hard, late-season deep, icy it probably won't work as good as
narrower ones. |

and Utah.
But if I could, here is mine:
No.1 Snowbird - for powder, price, wide mountain intermediate to advanced
runs.
No.2 Alta - for powder, most snowfall, skiers' Mica!
No.3 Whistler/BlackComb - huge, wide open mountains, long runs.

发帖数: 353 | 19 天气一天天热起来，眼瞅着版上的大佬们一个个的“刀枪入库”，那我就跳出来喊一嗓
子，我的雪季还没有结束，嘿嘿，>_<，我会坚持滑到6月份，去哪里滑呢？一是北上加
拿大，Whistler/Blackcomb 5月底才关门，二是南下去俄勒冈，Mt Hood有一个常年开
放的雪场，因为坐落在冰川上的缘故吧。春天了，虽然没有新雪，但气温高，雪面也会
变软，也是滑蘑菇的好时候。
话说看了网上无数人的录像和真人秀滑蘑菇，再回想自己从对滑雪毫无概念到现在到了
雪上就和本能差不多的转弯、转弯、再转弯，想像中觉得Ab&Ext也会是一种滑得熟练了
之后的习惯或者是本能，就和人学会自行车之后就不大可能再忘掉一样，自然而然的会
在蘑菇上做出来的动作。有一次在看一帮人讨论Ab&Ext的时候一个大牛用了“backward
bicycle”这个词来形容，就开始琢磨它这个“反蹬自行车”的意思了，再后来自己去
练习了几次，才找到感觉，慢慢明白它不是那种顺其自然的事情了，我的体会是Ab相对
于Ext来说更加“非自然”，为了在起伏的地形上保持重心的稳定，需要滑雪人的双腿
来伸缩，靠每一次的主动收缩把势能和动能吸收一部分达到在 |

发帖数: 353 | 21 我是看不出来录像里的这个tank场地在哪里，我记得上次去的时候有几趟John带着我们
两个组的人去了个类似的地方，可能短一点，有4个起伏，是在Blackcomb那边。其实找
一段蘑菇斜插过去也是很好的练习场地，我前几个星期就是在附近的滑雪场这么练的。
你贴的这段录像很有意思，开始的几个是标准的A&E，可以看出他的重心没有跟着起伏
，后来速度慢了就必须要跳一下才能越过去，所以重心就跟着跳了，这也让我想起来
John提起过要有一定的速度才需要AE。 |

有些地方露出石头了，不过Blackcomb那边有几段不错的蘑菇，很少有人滑，反正现在
去期望值得降低。 |

发帖数: 658 | 23 写长篇很费时间的...从小时后第一次在Whistler blackcomb 滑雪开始就喜欢上了这个
运动 从ski 到snowboard 一共12-13年 慢慢的也有机会遇见一些世界级的人物比如
terje,jeremy j,shaun w,charles,travis r... 也同时有参加一些比如 quick silver
，world cup half pipe..喜欢上这个运动后 去医院的次数也开始多了 手术了 2次..
浑身骨折 5次....以前还年轻...几岁,10几岁..现在过2了...anywho...新的雪季又要
开始了...希望大家都要小心,达不到的 极限不要去尝试...不要 show off (以前只要
有女生或有朋友在都会把耳机声音开到最大..然后挑战一些平时不常做的 动作 比如
frt,bk double flip. 5 shifty shifty.
7 shifty shifty(第一次尝试7 ss..背部落地躺在了地上被送去了医院)
helmet 和 pad 一定要戴上...下雪 和 下雨的时候不要去 park 或 back country

government."
15,000 sqkm?!! HOLY COW...
To put that into perspective - SNOWBIRD resort is 2500 acres, which is about 10 sqkm. Whistler/Blackcomb combined is 8200 acres, which is about 33 sqkm...
15,000 sqkm... mind boggling... |

though it was probly a waste for a rookie like me.
The view on top of Blackcomb/Whistler is just mesmerizing: layers of snow
mountains just like those in Chinese traditional painting, with the golden
sunset casting on top of them.... |

买的是MULTIDAY LIFT TICKET,可以便宜些 （http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/reservations/mg_41/Whistler-Blackcomb-Lift-Tickets.search）
black comb和whistler之间有peak2peak连接，坐十几分钟要，可以当观光车坐，不到4
点就关了。
绿道很长（我是新手，呵呵），那个叫 PONY TRAIL的不错，就是有些地方要上坡，对
技术是个考验。
感觉这里的蓝道很宽，呵呵，是很宽很宽，随便滑。
2） 住宿

房间里面有小厨房和小冰箱，可以自己热点东西吃。做菜还是算了，地方太小。
自己的装备不能带进房间，要寄存在一楼的小卖铺里面。小卖铺还卖一些头盔雪镜啥的
，住店的客人还有10％的优惠。
一楼还有室外的HOT TUB，下雪的时候可以仰望星空感受雪花在脸上融化。
