今天下午收到录取通知的girl （大约61人，男生更多）, 可能在晚上会接到现在在读
学生的电话。有任何问题请自由的问。他们想更多录取的girl能选择Blair.
近年来，老中去RM的越来越多，为学法律，政治和经济，个人觉得趋势相当不错。我只
是想说有一部分学生事实上Blair毕业后也去学了以上专业，且不后悔选择了Blair并认
为是一段很好的经历。

just partial magnet, it is hard to compare. I copy some of data from Blair
magnet award from 2001 (Blair magnet fundation website). Nearly half Chinese
name, it looks good. Other parents of IB or TJ can you list some of the
awards their students achieved? Thanks.

:45, 21 minutes difference. Two kids of the Blair Magnet Coordinator, Mr.
Ostrander, are in the RM IB program now (one freshman, one senior), it looks
IB is more popular.
Average SAT I score of the Class of 2014, IB vs Blair vs TJ (Class of 2013)
really close.

(home school), got admission to Harvard and other Ivy schools two years ago.
One Chinese boy withdrawed from Blair after one semester because of
toughness, back to Churchill and topped there at least now.

学区是Mark Twain elementary, Pershing middle , Belliare high.
步行到初中很近， 图书馆和小学大概要15分钟（孩子的速度）。
apartment 靠近公交车站 ，食品超市， 附近还有个小shopping center，
NEIGHBOURHOOD也挺好的。
月租是￥815 (2 bed+1 bath， 包括电费在里面了)。也就是说每月要交的钱是￥815 +
水费(about $30/family).
sublease 的时间是从5月1号到8月31 号，然后你可以直接续约。我们准备在4 月中旬
到4月底搬家，时间上可以机动一点

TJ has about 30% asian, Blair magnet and RM IB about 40 to 50% asian, maybe
a little more. I am not so sure.
To one individual, it dependents, I know. Just curious how the parents of
those school think and consider, I mean those Chinese parents, of course.

一个放弃GT，stay在Churchill
一个去了Blair
前者去了Duke，其它也没啥学校录取他。。。。感觉像是中了彩票似的。。。
后者录取的学校也很有限，最后在CMU和马大中选，家里愿意出钱让他去CMU，他自己选
了马大。（心里价位是MIT） |

acceptance. 41 of Blair magnet graduates will go to UMCP. About 20 of 41 got
the so called Banneker, which cover the 4 years full of tuition+ meal +
board +... (of course, you need to maintain GPA3.2 or something). Some of
lefts got full or half tuition only, but almost all of them placed in the
honor college. I do not know if that make any significance. |

第一”, Samuel Zbarsky, (GPA算他应该不是，但获奖什么的应该是）细老毛子舍PC奔
CMU了，全奖，主打专业好像是数学。据说他哥在H，小伙子选CMU，他父母是很有想法
