结果呢，法官不仅没判监，还把判决降级了，纽约华人社区却波澜不惊，没有听说有任
何骚乱暴动。黑人闹了 - 20来个人去找黑人DA闹，半夜去他家门口嚷嚷，倒被警察抓
了7个。要说黑人不光火也不对，社交媒体上他们一片愤怒，有个别人喊要暴动。但是
最终华人社区平安无恙。
为什么没有发生？第一，我们华人托了韩国人的福，黑人1992被看似软弱可欺的亚洲韩
国人出乎意料地打死了23个，前事不忘后事之师，对亚洲中国人现在还是有所顾忌。第
二，黑人大多数还是明白的，这个案子跟黑人DA现在说的老实话一样，根本就不是一个
警察滥用武力的案子，虽然他们同时也很希望华人警察梁彼得进监狱，让他们觉得“黑
人的生命也重要”，但是要拿命去占这样的便宜当然不值得。
梁彼得案到此已经大获全胜。只要不进监狱，这个判决就基本等于被推翻了。奇怪的是
，一些华人开始把光荣归功于美国司法制度的公正，甚至包括一个叫华强的律师，都认
为华人斗争跟这个胜利无关，是司法制度公正的体现。

By the way, your recommendation that someone watch a 35 minute Clinton
speech is, I hate to say it, disgustingly stupid. In the time spent watching
a bland 35 minute speech written by a speechwriter/propagandist for the TV-
watching sub-100 IQ masses, one could read a chapter of a good book, or a
