1. Nevada，半夜，前不着村后不着店的沙州荒谷，爆胎，停车换备胎，忘了为什么把
笔记本电脑（外面裹了个小布包）放车顶上。换完备胎，开车，开出去五分钟了才想起
来电脑在车顶上那，还纳闷启动时听见轻微的闷响，到底是嘛涅。急慌慌u-turn回去猛
找，竟然在路肩上找到了。人品啊人品。
2. Rocky Mountain National Park，晚8、9点左右，天降暴雨，从公园出来翻山路向
Breckenridge的旅馆狂奔。路况不熟，都是七扭八拐的盘山道，奔得心悸，好歹雨慢慢
停了。山里天黑早，路上根本没什么车，更没路灯，只有前面一辆皮卡开得飕飕的，至
少有70迈，肯定是本地人，也不怕刹不住车翻山沟里去。我们不想跟，可就这一辆在前
面带路的，否则就是前不见古人后不见来者的黑啊，黑啊，不跟也得跟。可开着开着，
山岚竟然出来了，就是路前突然出现一块白雾，车一头扎进去，两眼立刻暂时失明，两
秒内一片白茫。我们哪见过这个，吓得魂都快飞了，可也没地儿停啊，只能咬着牙攥着
拳渗着冷汗以赴死的心态继续开，穿过一片白雾，又一片，又一片，又一片。那是我有
生以来第二紧张的5分钟。

review说bass和HD650一样。没有HD650 smooth，但这是一件好事。
和Grado相比：It's very energetic, and reminded me of the kind of energy that
a Grado gives me, so naturally ran it up against some SR60's and a SR325,
the bass completely overshadowed the Grados, and while the Grados had more
mid-centric sound, the Panasonic had more sound stage and was warmer and
less fatiguing while still having a huge amount of energy.

发帖数: 487 | 10 呵呵，我还真没多少经验可谈,不想误导大家。实事求是地说，是孩子自己比较好，说
来惭愧，我自己在孩子身上没下太多功夫。比如这次写essay,early action的essay我
只是大概看了一下，一点都没改。Early action的MIT的essay我是到交上去才看得。看
完了觉得写得不太好，不过已经没法改了。而且她给她的college counselor 看过了，
后者所没啥问题。后来MIT EA 被defer了我才认真地帮她看了其它学校的申请essay.
她其实也不是很认真的人。有两个小插曲，一个是她申请的时候common application的
Social Security number都填错了，以至于现在Harvard的financial aid都没搞定。还
有一个是申请材料差点没有及时交上去。所有申请是通过一个commonapp.org的网站提
交的。她先把材料填好，我检查一遍，然后我用信用卡付申请费，付完了还要回到另一
页submit才算完成。她只叫我付费，我付完了以为就行了（缺了最后一步），她也没来
检查（这些孩子递出申请后就不想再看第二遍了）。截止日是12/31,... 阅读全帖 |

If I was the button and I thought CO player was weak then I would 3B Q7s too
. If I get 4B in a 3-way pot I basically say bleh and call just as he did.
When I first told the hand to two friends both of them said button played so
bad but I didn't think so. On the flop, raising to set up a bluff is just
too costly because the combined chances of BB hand undefined versus CO's 4B

i once looked for yu hua's books on amazon.com, turned out only "to live" was
there(at that time, early last year). the whole business is annoying, to say
the least. there are two subjects that can get you better-known nowadays:
organized crime and individual perversity. bleh, it sucks to be a reader once
you've grown up. i'd rather browse the junior section. =/ |
