自费买dental insurance：一般premium几百/年，一年最多报销两千，外加
waiting period，所以不一定合算。临时报佛脚的情况就不要考虑了。
dental discount plan：在参加计划的诊所可以立刻打折。比如Aetna Advantage Dental。
收入确实低的，在本地找免费或low cost诊所。这些地方可能有eligibility要求，很多只提供有限服务。
去附近的dental school clinic，给学生做小白鼠。
自己跟牙医去讨价：前提是在看病以前讨，不要狮子大开口。
多问问题：有无非完善但廉价的其他治疗方案、哪步不一定做、是否去征求second opinion...

去年11月左右拍的片子，一共长了两颗，一颗长出来了，据说简单的extraction就可以
，费用是100多。一颗还长在肉里，说是需要做surgury，要削一部分骨头，费用是300
多。
然后今年3月份我本想一起做了，就把两颗的钱一起交了。当时医生说先拔复杂的那颗
，然后看情况。结果看拔完我吓得要死，就说另一颗下次再约了来拔吧。就这样又拖了
几个月，两周前才约好，把另一颗拔掉。
第一颗是削了半天的骨头，用了一个多小时的时间。第二颗很快，10几分钟就拔完了。
结果今天收到一张新的帐单，第二颗也按 partial bony impaction 收的钱，还要让我
再补交200多！
请问我要怎么跟他们argue，这个钱我应不应该交？我自己其实根本不知道第二次是怎
么回事，医生怎么说就怎么做了。还是说后来牙齿又长成和骨头挨着了? 主要是我也不
懂 partial bony impaction的意思。 但是，要多收钱至少应该提前告诉我，不能马后
炮吧？我是在我们学校的dental school拔的，这里收费什么的一向很乱。

CT scan is the test of choice and is always better for kidney stones
comparing to ultrasound or x-ray,
ultrasound might miss small stones or ureteral stones but it's better than
CT if you are pregnant because of the radiation exposures,
x-ray like KUB will miss radiolucent stones such as from uric acid and plus
the overlying bony structures might interfere with your reading, |

impact要200-300刀，bony impact可以到五六百。
你要怕，可以只拔有问题的。就怕以后保险没了的时候，其他的智齿再发炎，继续萌发

发帖数: 499 | 47 看前两个图，感觉像耳膜穿孔,或者是耳硬化（otosclerosis）。特别是左耳。这两种
情况的pure tone图通常都是在2000赫兹那里重合的。
引用我的教材的几句话：
1. 耳膜穿孔：
In general, if a perforation causes a hearing loss, it will be a mild,
conductive hearing loss （正好是你的情况）。
Regardless of type, most perforation heal spontaneously. Those that do not
are usually too large or are sustained by recurrent infection （你说你有中耳
炎史，所以可能与这个有关）. In such cases, surgery may be necessary.
2. 耳硬化：
Otosclerosis is a disorder of bone growth that affects the stapes and the
bony labyrinth |

颈椎生理曲度存在，椎体序列欠稳， C7椎体轻度前移; C3-T1椎体边缘不同程度骨质增
生， C5/6, C6/7椎间隙狭窄； 双侧C4-7钩椎联合骨质增生， 骨质未见明显异常。项
韧带钙化。
诊断：颈椎病，伴椎体对位不稳
AP and Lateral cervical spine film demenstrate normal cervical lordosis
associated with unstable vertebral alignment , C7 vertebrae mildly
spondylolisthesis ;
C3-T1 vertebrae edge of varying degrees of bony hyperplasia , there are C5 /
6, C6 / 7 intervertebral space narrowing;
Bilateral C4-7 Luschka joint hyperostosis , bone no obvious abnormalities .

Graft。
看的oral surgeon似乎还不错，十几年经验的professor and attending oral surgeon。
收费也很高，共$2000。我的烂学生保险可能不会保多少。
医生说得很轻松，笑气局麻(Nitrous Oxide Analgesia)一小时四颗全取掉。
之所以想拔一是阻生齿，二是因为较严重的牙周炎，智齿都有7-8mm的牙周袋，但是不
痛不蛀。
一年后有回国计划。考虑去上海市牙防所拔。
想问这里的专家，我是该立刻在美国拔了，还是等回国再拔？
libaijia在《关于深度洗牙》一文中说：“不建议回国拔，虽然便宜，但美国在这方面
的技术还是高于国内一筹的。 ” 即使三甲医院专家也不行么？ |

3岁娃，偶然发现一只脚的外侧踝关节下方有个pea sized 硬硬的突起。我自己觉得按
压是不怎么动的（就是没有attached to the skin)。没有受伤史，也不排除娃偶尔扭
了没告诉我们。
带去看了儿医，儿医说是推的动，问没有食欲变差也没有weight loss，也不痛，摸了
淋巴结都没异常。送去拍了x-ray，说骨头没问题。儿医说要么自己观察一阵子，要么
带去看 pediatric orthopedic specialist。
有儿科/骨科经验的知道有些什么可能原因么？还有什么检查手段可以确诊呢？比如B超
可以检测是否是cyst？
