了早餐，休息会，去排队。预约的12：15，结果1点还差10分就拿到签证出来了，给我
发了短信。然后去了北京的亲戚家，打了几圈麻将，再坐火车回家。哈哈。下面是签证
问答：
爸：您好，我去美国看女儿，这是我老伴，我们一起的。这个是我女儿、女婿给我们准
备的材料清单还有给您的信，您看还需要看什么。
签证官看了看递上的东西：你们在国内有孩子吗？
爸：有个儿子还有女儿。我们有他们的身份证，工作证的复印件，您要看吗？
签证官：不用。你们有工作吗？
爸：我们都退休了。我们带了退休证。
签证官没要：你们有照片吗？
爸递上我们家人的照片，我小时候的照片等。至于我和老公给他们准备的我们在美国和
历次回国的照片都没要。
签证官：可以了。

背景：
父母来美两次，都按时回国。侄子（我哥的小孩）小学毕业，利用暑假来玩。08年我爸
妈曾经带他去签过一次，因为不明原因被拒，现在想想可能一来当时的签证没有现在容
易，二来有些材料没有准备，比如家长委托书。
过程：
他们是下午４点１５分的签证预约。签证官是五十多岁白人大叔。排在他们之前的是一
个中年男性及他的父母，三人不知为何被拒，弄得我妈有点紧张。轮到他们以后，我妈
主动和他打招呼，小侄也说“叔叔好”。大叔笑了笑，我妈感觉气氛一下子缓和了很多
。开始他问了我妈几个简单的问题，然后就和小侄做了一些聊天式的对话，除了问我，
我爸妈的名字及和他的关系外，也问他在学校的成绩如何，喜欢什么运动，想去哪里玩
。小侄回答的都很流利，唯一没有答出来的是我博士的专业，他就说不知道。最后大叔
说“你们拿到签证了，开心地去玩吧。”总体来讲是一个很轻松的氛围，签证官也通过
问答确认了签证申请的真实性。他只要了护照，我们准备的材料一概没看。当我妈问他
要不要看亲属关系证明及其他材料时，他说“不用，我相信你们”。

我仔细查了, 一般州在booklet的filling status的地方对这种情况有详细说明.
我查的MD和CT的要求都是, 一般要求州税按married filling separately填. 而且,
写明了, 如果你按jointly填, 就得按总收入收税. 当然, 你仍然有权力选择按joint填.
这种情况州税的status和联邦税是不一样的. booklet写清楚了, 而且就是那个解释
filling status的地方, 很容易查. |

I did not mean there is any booklet that lists private lands, which will
bring too much trouble to the writer and the land lords.
I meant there are some booklet talks about how to ask for permission, how to
talk and how to find the right place. In fact, your mentor did is what they
suggested in the books. Those books can be found in any public library. I
read them, but never tried myself. The only similar experience is in China.

1. 公证学位证书,不是毕业证书.是不是一定要在美国公证我想可以查查ecfmg booklet
，大家应该都是在美国公证的，精华区有推荐；
2. 如果学校有办理正式的中英文出国成绩单，你就不用再翻译或公证了；如果没有，
肯定是要同时有中英文件的，再查查ecfmg booklet or email them;
3. 文章对申请是有用的，有多少用要看申请的医院性质，专业，和不同program的喜好
。对于大学医院，病理，fellowship的申请，好像都很有用；
4.OB: 能在美国做应该更好些吧，如果具体情况不允许，我觉得在加拿大做的应该也是
有用的，总算是北美临床经验啊，有总比没有好，还可以争取好的推荐信。 |

70000 miles，
1. oil filter housing seal就是个垫圈，我不知道换垫圈为啥还有1 quart coolant。
2. shock absorbers 里面dealer 要换的是2个TROD BUSHING
3. drive belt要换的是tensioner。
4. 我的AC最近的确是不太给力，不过换个氟利昂居然要bill 我364刀。。。
5. valve cover gasket 是SULEV warranty cover的，BMW的booklet上面是15年，
dealer一开始要bill我，
被我指出后，又改口是8年，还是跟BMW的booklet不一样。
6. oil pan gasket 后面有一大堆东西，不知道是什么。
我的车去年8月29刚在另一个dealer check过, CPO warranty是去年11月底过期，在CPO
期间，我每年都service 2次。
而且因为买了新车，外加回国，这个车从6月份就很少开了。
本来这周末已经谈好价格卖出去了，结果今天出了这样的事情。。。

问题，总体感觉，娃上学适应的还不错，还有老师也很好。
好的方面：good listener, behave well,curious，play with other kids（松口气，
他太shy了，就怕他不跟小朋友玩）；
字母：大写没问题，小写还有b/d,p/q, u/n,这3对老是混，属于正常
（上K前就是这个水平，现在还是）
math：认识1到10，能数到35，
（先进儿童们千万不要笑我们后进生，上K前还数不到35呢）
reading：老师问带回家的小booklet读了吗？答，读了，但是看着图会读，把word单独
挑出来就不认识了。老师说可以把一句话写在纸上，再把每个词剪下来，然后让他自己
用词拼出句子，这样就还是有content的，而不是孤立的一个词。
writing：老师正尝试让他们写story, 就是一页纸自己画副画，然后再写上画了啥，老
师要求他们根据听到的sound，把词写出来，现阶段只要把begining sound, ending

发帖数: 5892 | 48 昨日(周一)，多伦多市议员莫斯高(Howard Moscoe)对本地媒体披露，市政府有关部门在开停车罚单时也有“潜规则”，不少特殊的人士、车辆都可以免于被处罚，而这一不公平现象让多伦多损失了数以百万计的收入。在本地主流媒体的评论版上，不少人提出市政府应该取消这种“区别对待”，或者至少应该给予市民“知情权”。
开停车罚单也不公平?
多伦多市议员莫斯高对媒体透露，本市执法部门在开停车罚单的时候并不公平，而是有“区别对待”。他曾看过一本市政府内部使用的25页小册子(city booklet)，上面列举了大量可以豁免被开停车罚单(parking tickets)的街道、某些特殊人士，以及服务车辆。
议员表示，在市政府和市议会中很少有人知道这个小册子的存在;即便是知道它存在的人，也很难获悉小册的细节。莫斯高当议员已有31年，还担任市政府牌照委员会(licensing commitee)主席，而他也仅仅读过几次而已。
莫斯高披露，小册子上的豁免名单的内容很多，包括小型送货车﹑计程车﹑机场载客车(limo);一些特殊的人士，例如非本地的游客也被列入其中。在市中心，至少有两条街道上停靠的汽车，可以被免 |

“近日，一则北京中医药大学在美国《科学》杂志“花钱买版”做宣传的消息引发广泛关注。昨天，北中医校长徐安龙和《科学》杂志国际协作、运营与出版副总监吴若蕾回应北京青年报记者称，北中医确实出资赞助了一份《科学》杂志中有关传统医学的专刊，专刊刊有徐安龙文章一篇，但徐本人文章的发表与是否赞助无关。北青报记者证实，该篇文章确实未经杂志编委会评估，但经过“同行评审”。”

近日，一则“美国《科学》杂志专门为中医出专刊”的消息引发热议，不少人认为这是国际顶尖学术界对中医的认可，但也有声音质疑，所谓专刊只是由赞助商花钱出版的广告宣传小册子而已，与专业的学术论文毫无关系。
