i visited one 1GW Li battery manufacturing plant last summer, in China.
Extremely clean
electric generation requires central power station, for combined power plant
using natural gas the efficiency could be reach >62% currently (see EDF
Bouchain built by GE). So basically from power generation to car use there
is only natural gas involved, which claimed by some researchers that natural
gas is clean.
