发帖数: 109 | 11 考虑转行到CS了，想着一边工作一边读个ONLINE的计算机硕士，自己对编程很有兴趣，
而且自学过Java, Python, 写过几千行的code。但是需要系统的强化一下，而且也需要
有个CS degree作为敲门砖拿到interview。
最近对比了一下这三个学校，都可以在网上读，这三家里只有NC STATE要求GRE，其他
两家都不要，我也懒的去再考了，之前的早已经expired。另外，这三家的费用都差不
多，可能Univ of Washington的稍微贵一些。
看到Univ of Washington还有另外一个ONLINE PROGRAM叫做NLP，和CS沾边，做语言语
音处理方便的。这个方向和传统的CS软件工程等方向有啥advantage/disadvantage?
NLP的工作好找吗？
另外一个要请教大家的问题是：这三家排名对以后找工作有有啥区别不？CU BOULDER的
工程
还不错，好像CS的给ME工程学位。这三家在业界的校友网络对以后找工有啥影响和区别

趣事。十一月初, 法国登山联盟的三位教练去西藏高山向导学校教学
。他们在拉萨周围的山上开发了攀岩场地和BOULDERING区用于教学,
我受西藏登协的邀请参与了这一活动。
三位教练为首的叫Segie Koenig, 是法国登协的高级官员,他曾于
1982年从北坡登顶了珠峰, 去年他还带领两个登山教练在华山北壁开
发了五条以上的攀登路线。其他两位教练一位叫Frank,
一位叫PhLipps, 都是法国沙木尼登山学校的教练及高山向导。
给人印象最深的是三位向导出色的身体素质, 在4100米的山上有时风
力达到5-6级, 但是他们经常只穿一件T恤在岩壁上一吊就是半天。给
人的印象是对他们来说在高海拔攀岩和在平地没什么区别。
岩场在拉萨河边天葬台后边的山上。每天清晨上山，向河边远远望去
, 满天盘旋的秃鹫,满山的经藩和佛像, 使人心中充满了凝重和敬畏
。
法国人的工作效率很高,也很严谨。他们先在岩壁的顶部和下方打上
许多BOLT然后拉上静力绳将岩壁修成类似VIA FERRATA的路线,从而保
证了开路线时的方便与安全。在每一个TOP |

1. New Jersey
A:NJ主要分为三块，North NJ (学校有NJIT, Stevens, Rutgers Newark等), Central
NJ （Rutgers New Brunswick, Princeton) 和 South NJ。
North NJ是老工业区，药厂林立，申请药学的话应该是一个很好的选择，另外制造业发
达，ME专业申请这里也是一个很好的选择。该区最大的问题是治安，Newark，Jersey
City都被誉为是全美最危险的城市之一，黑人比例高，gang活动猖獗，特别脏乱，有时
火车去纽约路过这里都会有乘务员提示注意安全。
Central NJ华人比例相对高，华人超市和饭店林立，还有著名的印度人聚集城市Edison
。所以该区IT产业发达，朗讯和AT&T的总部就架设在此。NJ IT的薪水虽然不如NYC，但

发帖数: 838 | 46 上周末开始，有两个朋友买了quickdraws。于是我们开始了sport climbing。先说一下
这初始两次的尝试。然后说最近训练心得。
第一个周末:
warm up 5.6;
lead了一个5.8，
follow了两个5.8;
follow了一个5.10c
第二个周末：
全都是lead climbing
两条multipicth的路线，一个是5.8;另外一个是5.9(this one is 180-feet long; the
ascend is sing pitch, but the descend is three picthes from the other side)
一条也是multipicth，但是没上第二个pitch。第一个pitch是5.10a/b。
我爬的比较慢，用朋友的话说是边爬边想的那种，所以在户外目前还一般不怎么take。
估计上的route还比较简单没有特别demanding的。但是现在还没有helmet，有时候也比
较担心掉下来，所以都是非常确定有好的position的时候才move on。还有我个子矮，

如果你向往自由，那么你一定会热爱飞行。

坐飞机不是第一次了，但是今天第一次坐Private Pilot驾驶的小飞机，感觉还是很不
同。
坐在大飞机里面的时候，和外界的环境几乎完全绝缘，并没有飞翔的感觉的。在小飞机
里面，和地面离得很近，感觉自己和飞机一起变成了一只飞鸟，在蓝天翱翔。
今天，我们从Boulder起飞，在Flat Iron上空盘旋一阵，然后飞过Longmont, Loveland
和Fort Collins上空，降落在Greeley 机场吃早餐，然后飞回Boulder. 多云的天气，
西边的山看起来都朦朦胧胧，隐约可见Long’s Peak. 并没有觉得飞得有多快，但是
